B J’s Buffalo Style Hot Wings & Things

They’re drive thru is majorly slow which makes sense because they have to cook chicken but still. I have never cared for their sauce flavors either.

Arrived in Memphis Friday & we passed by this spot driving down Elvis Presley… so we stopped & was mot disappointed. Ordered the 6 piece hot wing combo crispy… yummy. Saucy wings, with a little spice and the fries nice, hot & seasoned.
Good, no frills drive up chicken joint.
Did I mention, I had them for lunch again today?!

We walked here from the RV park, and boy was it worth it! Catfish and spicy sweet wings, fries, cole slaw and rolls. Fab price, fab food, genuine delicious sweet tea… I could eat here every day! It is drive thru only, but they were great about us walking up lol! Polite, prompt, delicious. I will definitely be back the next time I am through. If you plan a trip to Graceland, you must eat here!

I have never called or come here and my order is prepared the way I asked. I always get the honey hot wings fried extra crispy and never are they fried extra crispy. I can call ahead of time and they will wait until I arrive to cook them. If you won’t take call ins then please just say so. The sauce is awesome but I think this was my last visit.

My mother has lived in this area for close to 15 years and they were one of the originals along with Crumpy’s and D’Bo’s — and probably within the last 5 years at least 10 wing spots have opened and are currently open in the Elvis Presley, Shelby Drive, Milbranch area of Whitehaven (a.k.a Blackhaven) subdivision.
I can’t take anything away from them, they are just as good as Crumpy’s. Open late is a plus, I have a buddy of mine in Jackson that says this is the only place he gets his wings from when he visits Memphis which is seriously the Second City of Buffalo Wings.

I liked this place. I really wanted a burger Friday night and my cousin wanted some wings. She told me this place had legit burgers even though it was a hot wing place and she was right! It was nice and thick, just perfect. The fries were automatically seasoned and that’s a major plus. My cousin ordered the 20 piece honey hot wings and I stole one. YUM-​MY :)
My only concern about this place is that the drive thru will get backed up. Because it was 20 pieces of wings, it took awhile for them to be finished. Instead of having us pull to the side, we just sat there so the people behind us waited. Also, my burger and fries were a tad cold because I’m assuming they were already done. But other than that, BJ’s was bomb!
