Best. Cleaner. Ever. I found this little gem when was scouring the city for a cleaner that could take care of my huge denim comforter. I live way out in the ‘burbs, so I was initially a bit miffed that I would have to drive all the way out to Summer to get the comforter taken care of. However, that attitude was quickly changed. The 40% discount if you pay up front made this the cheapest place in town! Plus, the family that owns it is super nice. There are usually a few sweet kids running around when you walk in, and they’re fun to talk to. My comforter was done within two days and looked fabulous! Despite the drive, I’ll never use another cleaner.

I love everything about these cleaners. 40% off if you prepay. In by 10, out by 4. Most places cut off at 9. If you’re in a pinch, they even have same day service on Saturdays. In by 8, out by 1. The cleaning is done on the premises. They have been family owned for YEARS! I’m glad I’ve found them again after their original shop burned down some years ago. I just dropped my suit off and paid $ 6.72 and can plan on having it back by 12 tomorrow. Another place was talking about 4 tomorrow. I’m holding the 5th star for when I pick up my suit but I’m sure I will be adding it.

I eat most of meals at my desk at work. I usually have just enough time between conference calls and argumentative clients to smash whatever is closest to my office(which is why the dude atthe Chic fil a behind the office knows my name and my order. by heart). Invariably, this hasty eating leads to dropping, spilling, or dripping something on my shirt. I can’t walk around with stains all on my shirt, so I have to get them cleaned, and so far, no one has done a better job than Berryman. These guys are some serious miracle workers. Occasionally,(or every time) I’ll come in with marinara stains, BBQ dollops, and mustard dribbles, and these guys make em disappear. They have never shrunk my clothes(unlike Bensinger’s!) and they are always extra pleasant to deal with. It is a family run business, and you can tell. Hell, even the family dog«works» at the cleaners. The best part about Berryman’s is there is a 40% discount available if you prepay. Once, I left my change after I paid with a 50 $ bill, and instead of chalking that money up to an overage, they gave me the correct change when i returned! That’s how you build a relationship with customers. One word to the wise — don’t be crazy and try to rob Berryman’s. The owners definitely believe in the second amendment and carry their weapons on their persons in the store. Mess around and get shot if you want to…

Terrible job with my dress shirts and dress pants. Ridiculous amount of wrinkles that even ironing can’t fix some.

Hi ratings for the friendly family owned business. The male attendant has a very kind smile when you walk through the door. He had his children with him up front and was very attentive. I received several discounts for upfront pay and only pressing some items. I had 11 items(including jeans) and only paid $ 23 with tax. He mentioned Unilocal has really helped and his grandfather told him word of mouth is the best business. This is my new cleaners!

I would consider myself a great housewife(or in my case, househusband?). I cook, I clean, I can garden, I am tall and I reach things out of place, and I can blend into a wall if you never want to see me. I am telling you, total package here. I will admit, I can also iron. Well, not really, I get frustrated when I iron and I don’t trust myself when it comes to my nice clothes(nice= the majority of them are still in ATL). Since my last trip back home, my mom was nice enough to let me carry 2 backpacks, and some suits back to MEM with me. That was fun. So I needed them to get cleaned, and fairly quickly. Thanks to Joelle P, she told me about a place called Berryman. Is it close to where I live? You tell me, I lived in the northern burbs of ATL for 21 years, and battled that mess. Relatively speaking, it is about 15 minutes from where I live(and 5 minutes from the Gold Club, but whos keeping track??). So I took some stuff there to get it dry cleaned, as I wasn’t about to go at it with an iron. When I pulled up, it seemed like how it was described to me– no frills. But I was cool with that. There was also a food truck right next door(no idea what the guy was slinging though, I should have checked it out). When I walked in, there was a young girl(when I say young, she couldn’t have been older than 10) sitting there. I honestly thought she was the workforce… Then I realized it must be a family owned biz, as there was another kid on there as well(I assume school is out?!). So a lady came and took my clothes, and asked if I wanted to prepay, so I did, and it only cost me $ 4.75 to get my shirt and slacks cleaned. That was cool. She had fun with my last name(hold that thought). She asked me if I liked starch, I told her on the lighter side– which I am glad she warned me. She said they love to use starch there. She told me it would be done by the next day, which is awesome, as the cleaners I went to back home would usually take 2 – 3 days, unless I told them I needed my stuff for a funeral(which was actually true when I told them, but no time for sad stories). Since my schedule sucks, I wasn’t able to come until the following day. So I did, and I saw more kids this time! I was greeted by the same lady, and I gave her my last name. She butchered it again a few more times and had it under the«I“s instead of the«E“s. Hahah. Its all good. But everything came out it great condition, as I wore the clothes to the Sock Hop, so thank you Berryman for making my day, and I will be sure to go back!

One of the big challenges in moving to a new town(especially when you moved form a place you spent your entire life and has a population 5X the size of Memphis) is trying to find substitutes for all of you old standbys gleaned from years maybe decades of recommendations from friends and family. Finding the GOOD Shoe repair shop, Tailor, place to get your knives sharpened and most importantly DRYCLEANER… is of paramount importance when you are trying to make a new town your own. After all it is these little details that make you feel part of the fabric of a city. So on my quest to find someone who wouldn’t destroy my nice clothes and who did a nice job keeping my lab coats pearly white… enter Berryman Cleaners. I went there based on a Unilocal review… and I must say I was not disappointed. The owner is friendly, personable and after my second visit called me by name and had my order waiting for me. The clothes turned out great… I am used to a firmer finish on my coats but they still did a pretty good job. This is a no frills outfit… but the people working there are friendly and they seem to take pride in their work. So I definitely recommend them. Good solid dry cleaning services and you get a discount if you prepay! Check them out!

This is not a fancy place. It doesn’t have to be. It cleans your clothes. As long as my clothes come out looking amazing, I’m not particularly focused on the building that it happens in. The best part? You get 40% off if you prepay. And if you drop off you clothes before 9 am you can pick them up the same day after 4 pm for no extra charge. This has been a lifesaver for me on numerous occasions. I have been going here for 2 years now and have continually been impressed. They also have a seamstress who can fix your missing buttons, snagged zippers, and hems. I think this used to be called Cortese Dry Cleaning, which I never tried, but as Berryman, it is fantastic!
