Christian Brothers University

Great school! There are some downsides but they are far outweighed by the good. The average class size is under 25 students. I’ve had classes as small as 7 people. All of the professors make the effort to learn your name and they also demand your best effort. Obviously this doesn’t go for all of the professors but definitely the ones in Cooper Wilson and Assisi Hall! All of that aside the stand out feature of CBU is the way they help you prepare and plan for your life after CBU. The Career Center is AMAZING and Amy Ware has definitely played no small part in it’s continued improvement! There are always panels, speakers, and meetings to help and urge students to get started on gaining experience while they are still in school. There is a free course for students to help them prepare for life after college. This class includes financial planning, loan repayments, job hunting… and a lot more. Truthfully the hands on guidance to improve your standing for success after graduation is what makes me extremely grateful I chose this school! I can’t forget the brothers though they are dwindling in number but are the heart of this institution. Brother tom especially has been a true inspiration for me. He was the first professor I had that wanted to be there as much and probably more than the students. You could really tell when he taught that he was still carries a passion for his field. I could go on and on but just know that you couldn’t go wrong choosing CBU!

We recently hosted a small conference/​professional development day at Christian Brothers and it was fantastic!
Where do I even start!
The staff was great — Martin and Ray worked with us to ensure that our event was a success. From re-​arranging rooms and trouble shooting some complex AV, they were very accessible and helpful. Martin even hung up signs around campus so that our attendees could find their way from visitor parking to the Thomas Center.
The attendees loved the located. Easy to get to, plenty of parking.
The catering was fantastic! We had breakfast and lunch — more then enough food AND the sandwiches were amazing! We had so many compliments.
Overall, it was a great experience. We’ll be hosting there again soon.

Alumna here… Private Catholic college… Amazing grounds… such a beautiful and serene campus. It screams spirituality and tranquility. I love it. I lived here so I’m bias. The Brothers know you by name as do all of the professors. If you want personalized and close-​knit, you will not go wrong here. I STILL keep in contact with my professors and I love them… the wisdom they imparted was priceless. The campus is inspiring within itself — add the professors and fellow student brainiacs, and you’re a recipe for collegiate success. The feeling… it’s just special. Top Tier ranked to boot. Cheap? No. Worth it? I think so.

This private, Roman Catholic college offers a very nice, gated campus with a lovely layout.
It’s very peaceful, and beautifully landscaped, and reminds me of Catholic school, that’s for sure. With an older building that greets you in the visitor lot, the campus spans out, and is not that big, really, maybe five or six main buildings, a few dorms, and the sport fields.
It’s known as a pretty good school and pretty well-​ranked (Tier 1) for the mid-​south. It’s obviously a spiritual place, so you’ll want to take that into account.
Word to the wise — it’s expensive — about 25K per year.
