I stopped in here this week during a short trip to Memphis for spring break. I saw it as I passed Peabody Place on my way to the Gibson guitar factory, and decided to stop by later. I agree with other reviewers, it’s very similar to Wet Seal/Charlotte Russe/Forever21. However, the jeans all had crazy embellishments on the back pockets… I ended up purchasing an extremely cute dress that is soft and floaty, perfect for spring. For $ 40, I’m not complaining too badly. The clothes seem a *tad* over priced, but I like this dress enough to pay $ 40 for it(or rather, my gentlemanly boyfriend buy it for me). One worker was in a very sour mood that day, and had a very flat voice, even when she was thanking me for my purchase. The other was more friendly. My boyfriend asked a worker what was happening with the rest of the mall because it seemed completely deserted. The sour-faced employee said something about the mall being renovated currently. I did notice on the receipt that they explicitly do NOT accept returns. I wasn’t planning on it since I live in STL, but I just thought I’d check. You must return an item within 7 days for store credit.

What is Coco & Lilly you ask? Well, if you’ve been inside a Forever 21, Wet Seal or Charlotte Russe you’ve pretty much been inside the confines of this store. I’m not a big fan of the clothes as they tend to skew more towards the low-quality end. However, they do have a great selection of rather cheap and stylish jewelry and accessory options. I got a super cute hat here for $ 10 bucks on clearance that I wear pretty frequently. I’ve also scored a fair amount of hair accessories to put on my pretty little head for a reasonable price. The staff is what you would expect of a place like this. They’re helpful to a point. It seems to me that they start off being super helpful, then at some point it is as though a light bulb goes off in their heads screaming«You make minimum wage! Stop now!» Then you are on your own. Which is fine really, who needs that much help in a store of this caliber? It ain’t like we’re talking designer jeans and shirts here folks. I would advise you to bypass this place all together if you are thinking about making a specific trip. They are located in Peabody Place, which means it is them and Victoria’s Secret. It’s a bit of a let down really.

Coco and Lilly has some really cute clothes, bags and shoes. I work near the Peabody Place Mall, so it’s very convenient to run over during lunch and check out the new trends. The clothing is definitely marketed to the younger crowd– teens and kids in their 20s. Since I’m thisclose to the big 4 – 0, I generally shop for accessories or cute maxidresses, jackets and tops. They always have sale items in the back, and I’ve picked up some cute things at great prices. Just remember that the store only offers merchandise credit for returns, even with a receipt.

Great location for this very trendy clothing store in Peabody Place Mall. The items of comparable quality to something a step above Charlotte Russe. Cute clothes, don’t expect the items to more than a few washings without some wear and tear. I thought that the customer service was good. I don’t like being followed while I shop, and they kept a polite distance. I’ve picked up several cute tops there.
