I am appalled by the fact that it has taken me this long to attend one of these. The Cooper-​Young area is one of my favorite in Memphis and this night was created to support all those great local spots that make it what it is.
The first Thursday of every month, the businesses in the CY area stay open late and offer specials to those who attend the event. From 10% off to buy-one-get-one’s to food and drink specials, there’s definitely deals to be had. There’s a live band in the gazebo area and random vendors of crafts and the like. Night Out draws a pretty decent-​sized crowd, and this crowd is genuinely excited to be there supporting their neighborhood. That’s something I can get behind. Kudos to the residents of CY.
