I have not been in this locations in a couple of years. I decide to swing by and get a gift card for a Christmas gift and the moment I walked in the door I wanted to get out as soon as possible. It is just dirty my shoes were sticking to the floor as I walked to the counter. They could not issue gift cards because a machine was broken and I seemed to bother the girl when I asked if the problem would be fixed soon. She just smiled and said its broken I said ok will it be fixed soon and she replied with it is broken. I don’t know if she did not understand me or what was going on! So, needless to say as much as you may love their ice cream don’t go to this location it has gone so down hill in the past couple of years.

I was excited to see a Dairy Queen while riding through this area during lunch. I had not been to one in decades, and there aren’t any in the part of Memphis where I live and work. Boy was I in for a letdown. I have seldom witnessed such sheer laziness in a business. The people there acted as if I was interrupting them by coming into their place of business. They acted as if it pained them to move. The ice machine was out of ice. Ketchup bottles were empty. The list goes on. It was just an all around mess.

I ate here once. Got the five buck lunch. Received food poisoning as well. Haven’t been back since.

So my husband was very excited to find that Memphis has a Dairy Queen LOL So we went there yesterday to pick up some takeout and of course ice cream. When we got their my husband wanted to order inside and not use the drive thru to ensure that we got our orders correct. As we walked in, I noticed an empty DQ, but we were automatically greeted by their staff. I found their staff to be friendly and efficient. We placed our order and got our food and ice cream promptly. Food was fresh and ice cream tasted great!

This place is really hit or miss. Last time I went both my mom and I received blizzards were the topping was only mixed into the first inch or so of the ice cream. The rest of the cup was just solid plain ice cream. Disappointing as its one of the only dairy queens around.

This Dairy Queen is falling apart. Today, they are out of chicken tenders and their ice cream machines are broken. They are completely out of barbecue sauce and their salt shakers are filthy and not full. The restrooms are also quite dirty. The paper towel dispensers are out of paper towels and there is no soap in the soap dispensers. There is only sweet tea and no unsweet tea. I loved this restaurant when it first opened, but now it has really gone down. Also, the last three times I have been to this location, the parking lot has been absolutely filthy and littered with trash. Apparently no one picks up the trash in their parking lot.

The kids are polite, and the cones are filled with the soft serve ice cream goodness. The frozen drinks, even the«light» ones, are too sweet for me, but still a refreshing treat. I like their sandwich combos too. Considering the corridor they’re in, they’re better than other businesses in the area.

The past two times I’ve visited there have been bicycles dropped right in front of the door. You had to step over them just to get in the store, why don’t they tell kids to move their bikes? Today there was an employee cleaning the windows and watched us have to maneuver around the bikes but didn’t bat an eye. I’ve ordered an Orange Julis and it tasted like blended water, DONOTORDERIT. I got the lunch deal once and 20 minutes later they still hadn’t brought me my ice cream or my daughters cone. They never seem to be in a hurry. The employees have zero discipline, I’ve seen them scolded in front of customers for being late and the employee telling their supervisor to shut up. Today I watched an employee eating McDonald’s in the lobby, who does that? This place is in a great location but they need management to tighten that place up or it will go under.

This Dairy Queen is straight up cruddy. That said, it’s extremely convenient to my home so I find myself here at least once a week getting my blizzard fix. The ice cream is better than Sonic or a Mcflurry, and you get about 10,000 different blizzards to choose from. The soft serve isn’t bad either. They make a mean sundae. My problem with this location is the employees, who quite clearly don’t give a ____. It always takes like ten minutes of sitting in front of the drive thru window to get a mini blizzard and it’s always half melted when they give it to me. Will I continue to frequent this location? Certainly. Will I enjoy it? Maybe. Will I recommend it to others? Never.
