History

Established in 1984.

In March of 1984, Darrell Castle used his work experience in insurance after law school as a basis for starting his own firm.

The law firm started with bankruptcy law, concentrating in Chapter 7 & Chapter 13. But with Darrell’s experience in insurance, personal injury quickly became an equal practice area at Darrell Castle & Associates.

Darrell has had offices in St. Louis, Milwaukee, Detroit and Kansas City but has since sold those offices so he can focus on helping his clients at home, here in the Mid-​South.

Kingsport — a small town in East Tennessee — is where Darrell was raised. That’s where he attended college, graduating from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) with a history and political science degree.

In 1970, Darrell was commissioned as an US Marine Corps officer. He served 4 years, including 13 months in Vietnam.

After the Marines, he went to grad school at ETSU and then came to Memphis to earn his law degree at Memphis State University — now the University of Memphis — in 1979.

Darrell started his private firm in 1984. And now Darrell Castle & Associates is an experienced bankruptcy and personal injury law firm.

Throughout his 31 years of practicing law, Darrell has started law firms in Milwaukee, Detroit, St. Louis and Kansas City. But he’s since sold them all and now practices solely here in the Mid-​South.
