Their custom made drapes are the best. Fine job done by professionals. The owner did mine for me. I love this store.

This place is a classic Summer Avenue establishment. Off-putting name, check. Sketchy-looking exterior, check. Super friendly staff and high quality products, check. So yeah, it may not look like much, but this place is great. The boyfriend and I stumbled in looking for backdrops for a photography project, and we found exactly what we needed at a reasonable price. While the selection is limited more to the upholstery end of the spectrum(don’t come here looking for fabric to make clothes), they’re got some great stuff and are happy to show it off. So next time you’re in the need of some fabric, start here. It may be the only store you’ll have to try.

I’m still appalled by the fact that the name of this place is Discount Fabric. Nothing about this place says«discount.» From the staff to the quality of the fabric, it is all freaking fabulous. The only portion of this place that discount fits this little shop is in the prices– which suits me and my wallet just fine! Yes, it is tiny and there isn’t a ginormous selection, but the selection is big enough. There’s three aisles of rows upon rows of bolts of fabulous designer-looking prints. There’s also a discount area in the back with quite a selection. Some of the fabric is pre-cut and folded– so you might have a hard time if you fall in love with it and there isn’t enough to suit your project, but it is still worth looking into at about $ 5.99 a yard. They also sell throw pillows– covered and plain Jane for the do it yourself-ers, fringe and trims. The ladies who work here are what really give this place the five stars. I stopped in here on a whim, and didn’t have the correct measurements for my dining room chairs. I fell in love with a fabric and she was able to figure out the amount I’d need by looking at a photo of the actual dining room set. And they seem to be professional designers of some sort as well. They have bulletin boards of different room ensembles they’ve put together and I watched them help a bunch of different clients make decisions based off tiny swatches and home photos alike. I will definitely drive a bit out of my way and check this place out before heading to the bigger fabric stores. I would much rather give these ladies my business seeing as how they treat their customers like gold and their selection is really above average.

I love this little fabric shop on Summer Ave. It’s small and in an old shopping center, but the prices are wonderful. I agree with the other reviewer who mentioned the limited selection. You’re not going to find as many options as some of other, larger(and more expensive) stores. But what they do have is very nice and priced right. In addition to fabric by the yard, they also have fringe and trim at great prices, as well as some decorator items like oversizes table runners and gorgeous, plush pillows.

Limited selection is the only negative so that is why I gave it only 4 stars. The prices are amazing for designer fabrics(average seems to be around $ 13/yd). The staff is really helpful when pulling everything together. Don’t miss out on the bargin room in the back!
