This is by far the best Cleaners in Memphis. I have never been one to have stuff dry-​cleaned. But every once in a while I will wear my dry clean only dress and when I took it to another location I found in town I was extremely put off by the rude staff. Drake cleaners is conveniently located in Memphis, the staff who work there are kind and personable and they are willing to go above and beyond to help you.
I have taken my winter coat and a few dresses there which were done wonderfully, so I thought they might be able to fix a leather purse I had ripped. When I spoke with the staff about my purse she said she could not fix it since they didn’t have the machine, but immediately referred me to someone who could. So very helpful.
Also after my second visit there they sent me a thank you for using their services along with a certificate towards future services and the owners personal cell number.
This is a wonderful business with wonderful people working there.

I have never had a fondness of a dry cleaner’s. I picked Drake’s on a lark for convenience, and was more than impressed with the service on many factors. First, its product is superb. I can tell they do an excellent job with careful handling of my clothes — everything is ship-​shape and pressed. Second, they offer pick-​up and drop-​off service. Finally, Drake’s staff is entirely professional. From the younger clerks working the counter to everyone inside, the staff is always cheerful and helpful. That’s unusual compared to the service I’ve received at competing yet similar businesses.
Here’s what truly sealed the deal and kept me coming back as a returning customer. They make me feel like a regular. They mailed me a welcome letter with «Drake’s Dollars» after my first visit and send notices in the mail about additions to their services, schedule and other such things. They aren’t the cheapest cleaner’s in town, however their gold-​star customer service, quality of product, and attention to detail gives you 100 reasons to pick Drake’s.

This in the cheapest price in this town I think and for this I have been coming in this place for a while now and at the time I am so pleased at them. I just could not ask for the more fact of them and also it is said that the best customer service and the friendly owner you can meet.

I brought in a couple of thrift store finds for an event. Staff was great, so very helpful, even giving tips for getting old stains out of unwashable pieces. She was completely honest about what i could expect and offered suggestions on tailoring around set in spots. Left one dress to be cleaned.
My $ 8 gown now looks like a million bucks.
PS Teenagers work the counters and they are seriously the most polite kids.

Super fast, friendly, organized, and extremely amenable!!! I live in an older house in Midtown, and the dryer was on it’s last legs. After having to put a load through eight times on tumble to take care of the last load. My landlord is planning to replace it, but advised that I go to Drake’s at his expense for the meantime. I walked in around 5:30 this afternoon and I was out, with my dry cleaning, laundry by the pound, and alterations dropped off, by 5:45. Even though the owner told me he wasn’t equipped to do laundry by the pound on a delicate cycle, once I told him about my situation he said he would take care of it and help me out. I like, also, that I didn’t have to pay upfront. I feel like this place really cared about customer service and doing a great job with the product. As far as I can tell, this is the place I will keep coming to and entrusting my delicate things with!

Picking up my dress which was altered by A Better Fit (same owner, same building). Dress was cleaned, pressed and ready when promised.
I work in the EmergeMemphis building across the street from a Happy Day but Drake is my cleaners. Why when Happy Day has same day service, sweater specials on Tuesdays and a discount to Emerge members? Because Drake is, salad to nuts, a better cleaners.

Drake Cleaners really came through for me on short notice for some alterations that I needed done for a project. I had two shirts that I designed which needed the skill of a much more experienced hand. Sandy jumped at the opportunity to work with me, listening to what I wanted the end product to look like and even offered some constructive advice on how I could better achieve the effect that I was going for. She was flexible with me along the way when I needed to make a couple of changes for incorrect measurements that I had sent her and was endlessly positive about my outfits that I had designed. It was extremely helpful to have someone who could follow my vision and was skilled enough to execute it. I couldn’t be more happy with the alterations on my tops and I feel so lucky to have found Drake Cleaners. I will definitely be doing business with them in the future!

The owner is very nice. They mixed up my order, but after talking to the owner, he said he is going to credit the differences to my account. (I just need my shirts to be laundered and pressed, but the receptionist at the time wrote it down as dry cleaning). I also received coupons from them.

It seems like the majority of my jackets require special care. Naturally, I found myself needing to find a place that could take care of a suede jacket that I had dropped food on since, come lunchtime, I tear through a sandwich like a bull in a china shop. They were able to remove the spot from the suede, and the jacket — which cost an arm and leg — looks like new. I was thrilled. I don’t use them every week as I’m too far away, but I will continue to use them for specialty items.
