Eat Well Sushi & Grill

If you’re a sashimi lover like me, this place is heaven-​sent.
As with any buffet, it’s more of quantity of quality. This is no exception. Overall the food is quite decent. If you’re a picky eater and want only one or two items, it might be harder for this place to satisfy you.
Back to the sashimi, and also pricing!
Friday and Saturday dinner, sashimi is added to the menu! If you’re a sashimi lover, you know how expensive it can be. So if you also enjoy gouging yourself on plates full of raw fish like I do, you’ve found the right place! However, Friday/​Saturday dinner has the highest pricing ($ 21.95) for adults. And yes, the sashimi option is part of the reason why the price is hiked up. But when I do come here, I know I certainly eat enough sashimi that would cost well over $ 20 at a typical restaurant (I eat at minimum 20 pieces, and at typical restaurants a single piece cost approximately $ 2!) So this ends up being a great deal for me!
HOWEVER this may not be the case for everyone. As I mentioned, on some days the prices are raised due at least partly to extra items being offered. If you’re don’t enjoy sashimi (or anything else «extra» on Fri/​Sat), there’s no reason to come on the weekend and pay the extra money. If you typically stick to simple sushi or other buffet food, there’s a high chance that it’s available on weekdays. Or better yet, it could be offered at lunch too, which is super cheap!
Also, try the green tea ice cream at the end of your meal!

Best place ever ever ever for the money, hands down. This place and Red Fish are both UP there on number one sushi places in the area. Also Osaka and of course Sekisui. but. I don’t know. If I was picking between them I would probably pick this one, especially if you have kids. The sushi is amazing (and sushi is my fave, and Kroger sushi does NOT cut it for me in the least) they have prim rib, awesome fried rice, the tempura shrimp and veggies are to die for. The staff is friendly, the place is well kept, and you get ice cream after your meal if you wish, maybe on certain days, I don’t remember the specifics but I know the green tea ice cream is delish, just like everything else and the kids enjoy going here as much as I do so it’s a winner in our book! :)

We went there on Saturday night per friends suggestion. The place is clean, well-​decorated, and good quality food. There are hot stations, sushi station, sashimi station, salad bar, and dessert station. I went there because I love sashimi and crawfish which I enjoyed them very much. Our server is great, she is on top of everything. What I think they can do better is the selection. I expected more food coz we pay extra $ 7/​person more to come on weekend dinner ($ 21 something) compare to others day ($ 14 something). Also, the guy at reception is not really customer service oriented, no hi/​bye nor smile at all.

Has gone downhill since 2013. Used to love it but no longer go there. Sushi isn’t as fresh, food doesn’t taste the same.

Great atmosphere, décor, and service. The sushi bar has a large variety of choices. The salad bar was lacking options. The buffet had some delicious meat choices but not many sides.

Past this place a hundred times but nothing about the outside ever made me consider visiting but then I found a Groupon and decided to give the place a try. I’m glad I did.
It’s a smaller restaurant for a buffet but the food is delicious. Mostly traditional Japanese food with a fairly good variety and best sushi I’ve found in Memphis.
If your looking for good Japanese food at reasonable prices check the place out for lunch or dinner, but their not open Monday or Tuesday for lunch.

Not impressed. They told us there no booths even though it was obvious there were. Then seats someone in those same booths that came in after us. Service was horrible. They were so busy cleaning and restocking they totally ignored us. I had to find waitress 2x’s for water refills. Picked up 2 dirty plates from the buffet line. Could have walked out without paying because we couldn’t find our waitress for our check. My less than happy experience was reflected in the tip.

I don’t know why people don’t like this place. Its cheap, you get a good variety of food, and the service is pretty good. Sure, its not top notch food but you get to choose random offerings. I will say paying for dinner wont be much different than paying for lunch, so don’t bother.
Their sushi selection is pretty good. Lots of gourmet like philly rolls, spicy tuna, California rolls, imitation crab. The hot items are typical like potstickers, beef with broccoli, sautéed mushrooms, mussels, tofu, fried rice, yakisoba, tempura. Its a typical Pacific spread. They do have fresh lettuce and seaweed salad & lots of desserts. Food is great cant go wrong.
This is our second time eating here. We stumbled upon this buffet during our first trip to Memphis. Our second trip wasn’t as good as the first. Seems like they have changed owners. Definitely don’t plan on returning. Mainly because we live in California & I have eaten at better Japanese buffets.

This was by far one of the best buffet’s in town. The ambiance and atmosphere was very welcoming and open. The food stations were very clean and organized. The staff were friendly and attentive. For this being an Asian buffet and sushi, the sushi is the highlight. The variety of sushi is astounding and the chefs keep the bar filled with sushi rolls the entire evening. Top notch restaurant in Memphis.

I bought a coupon $ 18 for 2 weekday dinner buffet. When I check out, they told me it doesnt work forfriday night. R u kidding me? They told me friday is not weekday. Never want to go again. sucks !

Wow! I love giving five star reviews and this place is deserving of them. I got to try them for lunch and the food was amazing! There was a large variety and the price was not bad for all you get. The sushi was very fresh and the hot foods were even better. The fresh grilled steak cooked perfectly was fantastic! I am definitely a fan and will be back with friends.

I think for buffet food, they do a decent job. But I liked them much better before they caught on fire and shut down for a while lol. They used to have sashimi and oysters on dinner menus. But I think business has been hard for them, they have cut down so much on all the better things on the buffet. I’m Asian, and it’s true I don’t go there to eat fried rice, grilled chicken and steak and etc. I used to go there for the sashimi and oysters only. I will say that their soups are pretty good, I like the seafood tofu soup the best. Also, the salad bar is pretty good quality with wide selections. I must say that I’ve gotten sick from eating there, I suspect it is from the sushi bar. But this is a buffet and most buffets don’t put out the best quality food. Eat well is fairly decent for a buffet and the price is good for what you pay for.

Vast selection of unique dishes as well as decent sushi. It’s our new favorite sushi buffet. I can’t wait until date night to see the dinner spread! I gave it five because I think they really care for the quality. Is it the best? No but you will have a solid lunch and can depend on getting your money’s worth.

Great place for lunch or dinner for the whole family. Fresh sushi and Japanese food. Great variety and great price. So happy to have found this place since recently moving here!

I like this place better before the fire. Before the fire, I would have given them 5 stars. After, its been a long road back to where they were. They are gradually improving but they are nowhere where they used to be as far as quality and taste. The sushi is good. Better than most other Asian buffets with sushi (Grand Pacific, Grand, Pacific Fusion). Their tempura shrimp is the best I have had anywhere. They rest of the food is good, its better than the greasy messes served in other Asian places. I visit every few months to see if they have gotten better. It appears to be a slow process with them. I hope they get back to their glory days.

Well I will say that the food is somewhat different than other buffet restaurants which it does try to be what the title said Eat Well but I can’t fathom paying 11.00 dollars for this buffet again. Food offering are lacking for sure here. I will say the Korean beef was the best thing I have had in a while. The sushi is about sub par which I would give it 3 stars. I might go there again but if I was on a date it would might be romantic.

We have been here several times and my kids like it… But one only eats French fries and the other manly likes the desserts. The food has always been mostly good and I liked it because of the couches of meat since I try to avoid lots of breads and carbs. Sadly the quality has declined. Tonight will be our last visit.
First, the «hot plates» were dirty. I picked up 4 plates before I found one that looked clean. I would have left except my I promised my daughter we would eat here as a reward for an achievement. The first plate had lots of nasty brown stuff smudged on it. The next had brown stuff also. The third had green stuff on it. Finally, the fourth appeared clean.
Like I mentioned before, the food was ok, but not worth the weekend price, and I don’t eat sushi.
To top it off, I drink iced tea with meals. The tea I was given was extremely weak and watered down and tasted like instant.

We stumbled upon Eat Well a couple months ago. How has this place been here right under my nose and no one has ever told me about it? I’ve driven by here a thousand times and never noticed it.
We’ve been here several times over the last few weeks and I am amazed every time at how good everything is. I have never been to a buffet that I could give more than three or four stars but that was until we discovered Eat Well.
My only complaints are that on every visit, myself or someone in our party has been unable to get something because they weren’t getting things out fast enough to keep up with the demand of those items. I know for me the Teriyaki Chicken as well as the steak has been very limited to nonexistent on a couple of visits. The only other thing is the deserts, they are dry and flavorless. Not that you’ll have much room for desert but I wish they had something that was a little more palatable.
Other than that everything from the fried rice to the sushi has been top notch. I still can’t believe a buffet can be this good! The Teriyaki Chicken is cooked to perfection and the Sirloin Steak is so tender and flavorful, it’s hard to comprehend this is buffet food.
Go here now and enjoy great food at a reasonable price and prepare to enjoy buffet food as it should be.

I’ve been coming to this buffet on and off for years. It’s been better some times than others. Well, the last couple trips it has been much improved. The selections and quality of food seem better. They have included some great new Korean and Thai dishes. I just started to list what I liked but actually everything I tried was pretty good. This is actually my second day in a row to drop in! That’s pretty good but I have also been known to eat Noodle Star four or five days in a row! If it’s this good the next time I’m in I will raise it to four stars. Keep in mind it’s still a buffet and not going to be the best food you’ve ever had. It’s clean, well staffed and quick with pretty darn good food. Perfect for a buffet.

I totally used my Unilocal machine to push a coworker into a recon mission of Eat Well. The place is within walking distance of my office and a hospital. I will probably consider both on my next visit!
Three for lunch… three thumbs up. It’s not exactly Chinese… it’s not really hibachi… and, it’s not a crappy sushi buffet place with a ice cream machine either.
In my mind there is no such thing as a 5 star buffet. That said, I will admit that my lunch was really good. In fact, the consensus from the people at my table was… I’ll never go to that (buffet place) down the street again.
4 Star from me = NOT your typical strip mall MSG Buffet and the Sushi was WAY beyond a buffet. I’d say… If your in the area… Take it easy on the wallet and go Eat Well.
