I would not stay at this motel again for any reason. I should have known after reading the other reviews and having to pay through a bank-style security window that it might not be the best place to stay, but it was close to the highway, there was a coupon, and I wanted to rest. Cons: — The individuals staying here did not appear to be travelers. They appeared to be living at the hotel. I was particularly irritated when all night and in the morning large men were pounded on the doors of the rooms next to mine yelling commands to the women inside and checking up on them. — Safety concerns — Tub did not drain correctly and I had to pause my shower and wait for it to drain so I could finish my shower. Pros: — Fridge — Microwave — Proximity to highway — Ample parking — Great Wifi — Nothing was stolen

I stay at «cheap» hotels quite often, and I think this one bothered me more than any other one I’ve been to. Dirty carpet, dirty looking bedspread, lack of pillows on the king bed, broken hair dryer in the bathroom, plugs that didn’t work, a burned out lamp, and a terrible heat/air unit. There are TONS of other inexpensive hotels(Motel 6, etc.) right in the same area. So, if this is a good location for you, I would suggest taking a chance with those and not this Econo Lodge. I’ve stayed at Motel 6s that seriously reminded me of a jail cell, but they were literally cleaner and more pleasant than the room I had here. EESH. The only pluses: Free wi-fi Good location Relatively spacious room, with a sofa(except the sofa looked dirty like the carpet)

The building is in 2 separate buildings. and there is not an elevator to help you get your luggage to the top floor. The stairs are inside, which makes it a little easier to drag your bags and luggage up the stairs. After I got all bags into the room, I checked out the beds to get a quick nap in before a concert. I’m glad I did. The bottom of the comforter was stained with blood. We immediately called the front desk, they were very rude, sent an old man up there to change it & he acted like it was no big deal. While packing our bags to leave, we seen empty food wrappers and containers beside the bed and crumbs everywhere. I’m not a clean freak but the blood ran me out of that place!

Great location, right next to the main highway. It was a bigger room with a king bed and pull out couch. The room was clean and came with a bigger fridge and microwave. The room had been redecorated but not the tub. The bed was super comfortable. There is no business center at all, just wi-fi. They are building a fitness center. There’s a free hot limited breakfast daily with biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, and pastries. No decaf coffee. The has a coffee maker but I was never given any coffee in the room in my 4 night stay. It would’ve been nice to have the in room coffee like I was suppose to, because I don’t eat the foods provided on their free breakfast. The BIG complaint was the loudmouth, rude customers who were also staying there. There was a large group of people directly on the side of our room. There was also a large group of people in the front of our room across the hallway. There is access to the rooms from the outside and the interior hall. There were atleast 15 people partying directly outside of our window from 10:30PM — 6:30AM. They never stopped. They were screaming, setting off car alarms, slamming doors, etc… The other people who were staying across the hallway were doing the exact same thing. There were at least 20 people in that group. I called the front desk and complained about both groups. I was informed other guests had previously called and they were sending security to break up the partiers. I demanded to be moved into a different room in a different part of the building. There were plenty of rooms available. They refused. The groups left at 10:30PM when security made them, and came back within 45 minutes. The partying, screaming, slamming doors, banging walls literally went on from 10:30PM — 6:30AM. They wouldn’t change our room and we laid there suffering until 6:30 am. We got no sleep at all. This was Friday night. It completely ruined our entire weekend. We were trying to hit Beale St on Saturday and restaurants and were like the walking dead. Both of these groups checked out at 6:30am, and that’s the only reason the partying stopped. Another loud group moved in on Saturday and we demanded they move us, which they now did. However, their lack of customer service ruined our entire weekend in Memphis. After not sleeping the entire night Friday, we were dying on Saturday, and we spent all of Sunday just sitting in our room from exhaustion. The hotel is a good location. 15 miles from Beale St. Cheap price, spent $ 40 with AAA discount. Safe location. Directly by IHOP, Waffle House, and Shoneys. There is one seafood place on the same road and one barbeque place. The front desk person was very unhelpful and had 0 suggestions when it came to any restaurants or bars to go to. So just beware, good hotel, but because it’s cheap, you may get some very very loud partiers ruining your stay and their security never did anything about it. Again, no business center.
