Couldn’t have been more happy with this place. After having visited the«Wolfchase’s Gould’s,»(review posted on their Unilocal page) I made a reservation with this place and told them of my situation. I didn’t expect a comp or a free service bc of the two different locations. I just wanted my hair fixed, and I wouldn’t have mind paying extra to get it done. Well, the hair stylist looked at my hair and said that I would’ve never have been to leave w/that debacle. She even went to ask the manager what they could do, and she said that they would send what I had to say to corporate. On top of that, they said that I didn’t owe anything. I was extremely pleased after the debacle at the Wolfchase’s Gould’s. I would definitely be revisiting this location!!!

I have an occupation that is very difficult on your body physically. I have a regular massage therapist, but sometimes her schedule and mine conflict. I don’t get«relaxing spa massages», I need a deep tissue, Swedish, rolfing, whatever term you are familiar with. I have used Gould’s Day Spa several times as my fill-in massage spa. The receptionists are great with scheduling, very flexible and work with you if you call and need same day service. Both Mary Helen and Tasha have worked on me, and they were wonderful. Very professional, excellent massage and personable. I highly recommend either of them, and Gould’s Day Spa. I have used other spas and did not feel I got the deep massage I requested or paid for, so I am pleased to have a place to go when I need help.

Convenient location. Haylee is my stylist, and she always does a great job. Comfortable, clean atmosphere, and I’ve never had an issue with getting an appointment.

I love this salon. Not personally the salon, it’s the stylist. I called in one evening in a panic because my hair was totally whacked… I was able to get right in with Emily, of who she fixed me right up! And I have now continued to see her 3 more times. She cuts my sons hair now too! I love the convenient late hours and evening she works. I do feel the front desk is a bit snotty, very in consistent of who works the front desk– but who really cares your coming for your stylist not the front desk. The prices at Goulds are not bad as people say either.

I went there hoping for a relaxing facial and massage. The bad service started when I had to listen to the front desk people gossiping about someone’s sex life for the 15 minutes I waited for my appointment(delayed). Because the woman doing the facial was LATE, the facial was rushed. She used her nails to squeeze the blemishes on my face(bad form and damaging!) The massage was scheduled shortly after this, but apparently because the facial ran late, the massage therapist felt she needed to rush the massage as well. I felt like I was being tenderized like a piece of meat as opposed to having a relaxing experience. When the therapist was done, she simply left the room and didn’t tell me it was over. A few minutes went by when I realized that she was not coming back in. I got up, just got dressed and walked out. Absolutely horrible service. When I left, both employees where joking around at the desk waiting to punch out. I would never go back. Luckily I was just visiting but sadly I was visiting a friend who goes here a lot.

Let me start by saying that I’m not a spa snob. It’s not often that I’m able to just sit back and enjoy some«me time» in the spa. However, when I do, I want it to be good. My experience at this Gould’s location was a little mixed. My massage therapist, Juliana, was excellent. She identified some issues I didn’t even know I had. She gave me a lot of tips on how to stretch and take better care of my trouble spots. She also did a great job of making me feel comfortable and relaxed. She spent several years in medical massage before her move to Gould’s, so I felt confident she really knew what she was talking about. If I’m lucky enough to have another massage in the near future, I will definitely be going back to her. What I didn’t like about this location was that the massage room felt like I was in a doctor’s office. Yes, there was relaxing music, but other than that, I felt like I was at my gyno — minus all the poking and prodding. I wish they had more appropriate lighting and décor. With that being my only real complaint, I would still recommend this Gould’s for your pampering needs. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the prices were reasonable.

This location took me same day as my cancellation(for certain circumstances) at a different location. The staff was excellent and professional and the woman who did my locks of love haircut was very sweet. I think I’ve decided to keep her as my personal hair stylist. This location has always treated me well and genuinely seems to care about its customers. I’m looking forward to booking a spa day here in the near future. I’ve always had the best experience at this location.

My mom and I went here for a day of beauty to celebrate my birthday. Overall, the experience was ok. We received facials, manicures, and pedicures. The facial was the best part of my experience. My nail technician left something to be desired. She buffed my feet so hard that she rubbed my skin raw and created a sore on my big toe. She then engaged in conversation with my mom’s nail technician bad mouthing fellow co-workers. I can’t stand that! I find it extremely rude for employees to engage in conversation with one another while they’re supposed to be pampering their client. It’s worse when their conversation involves negativity surrounding their employer and co-workers. Extremely unprofessional! Perhaps, this bit is a little nit picky, but when I visit a day spa I expect their employees to look presentable. Several of the employees looked ragged. Every employee should have to wear the same black uniform instead of random pieces of black clothing put together. It would also be nice for their employees to spend some time on their hair and/or make-up. A few of the employees looked like they just rolled out of bed. I won’t visit this location again.

I am a salon hopper when it comes to wax services. You might as well call me the run away client — I never go to the same place twice. My friends don’t get it. They think continually hiring complete strangers is weirder, but I once met one of my very good friends during a bikini wax appointment. And every time I think about how we met, I cringe. It started out innocent enough, I was friendly with her and we chatted during my weekly facials. But then we got a drink and one thing led to another… friends. So you can see why I can’t chat during my wax appointments. Even if we don’t chat, I get weirded out by the familiarity that comes with regular visits. So alas, I go to a new place every time. The positive about Gould’s, however, is that there are multiple locations(no encounters with the same person), but you can still expect the same professional staff and experience. Also, by the time I loop back around to the stores, there is usually a new person. The only drawback is that it is a teensy bit on the expensive side… then again, they are the fastest(therefore least painful) appointments I’ve ever had. Win, win.

Well it was my birthday a ways back and what did I decide to do… treat myself to a day of pampering. Gould’s seemed like the go to spot here so I thought I would check it out. Now I preface this review with the fact that I am a TOTAL spa snob. I have been to spas all over the US and in a handful of foreign countries(don’t judge… I’m single and its what me and my girls do for vacay). so that being said I must say that my bar for spa treatments is pretty high. And where does Gould’s fall on the map… solidly average. This is in no way a bad review… just not quite where I am expecting my spa experience to be. Pluses — very accomadating with scheduling, I had an excellent massage and probably one of the best pedicures I have EVER had. Staff was friendly and the lunch from Jason’s deli next door was awesome Minuses — the spa seemed kinda busy and not very relaxing… and the overall«spa-ey» experience that I am used to(soft lighting, candles, muted tones and voices, relaxing music) was missing. Verdict — go for the solid and excellent services… but don’t expect the Red Door or Phonecian level of relaxation.

It took me over a year to find a great stylist in this city– someone who is not only great at what they do but also nice to talk to. Tina is EXCELLENT! She is able to highlight/trim/style my long, thick hair so quickly and efficiently… and is so funny! I highly recommend Tina!

I was in desperate need of a massage and booked my appointment on a Friday afternoon for the following Saturday(less than 24 hours) — they were very accommodating. I only had a 30 minute deep tissue massage, but it was just what I needed. I showed up right at the time of my appointment and they were waiting for me. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. The massage was very relaxing and my masseuse was friendly and provided just enough conversation to create a relaxing environment. The massage was professional and I would go back. The 30 minute deep tissue will run you $ 60. It’s a bit pricey for 30 minutes although worth the quality massage.
