Haunted Web of Horrors

Haunted Web of Horrors is my favorite haunted attraction in Memphis. This year they have three haunts, Dark Matter, Tormented, and newbie Twisted. The most popular one is Dark Matter in 3D. The visuals are great and add on to the already scary atmosphere. Beware, if you don’t like clowns this is not the place for you. Tormented is the scariest hands down. It reminds me of The Hills Have Eyes and Wrong Turn put together to torment me. Twisted looked promising but was my least favorite. The music, fog effects, and wired fence maze were all good, especially the surprise ending that was probably the only time I jumped. I just wish the actors were more scary or maybe chased us around the maze and this is coming from a person who scares easily. Don’t get it twisted though, the Haunted Web of Horrors will make you yell like a little girl.

I have to say I was impressed by these haunted houses they were very entertaining. I did not expect much from the 3D haunt called Dark Matter but it was actually one of the best I would have loved to go through again. I was thinking the 3D thing would really not work but it did and was pretty cool. This haunt has bright colors under black lights and there are tons of friendly dead looking clowns and circus people to help you not find your way out… I can not believe I listened to a demon clown on how to get out of the maze… don’t trust him! The next haunt was Tormented this was a little more serious and scarier you enter the asylum and the patients are not friendly or alive! There were several special effects in this one that were pretty cool would like to see how they did it. The last haunt was Twisted it was great because you pretty much see nothing you are enclosed in fog and dark which to me can be scarier than seeing a monster face to face. In all this was a great time get a group and go enjoy this place a lot of Halloween fun!

We enjoyed this haunted house very much. Took my young cousin and he loved it! Went through all three for $ 25. It was Thursday and we didn’t have to wait at all. Don’t bother buying tickets ahead of time as you still have to go to the box office to get passes. We went to one of the top rated houses in the country and while it was much larger this was well done and was scary at points. Give it a shot!

By far one of the best haunted houses I’ve been to in Memphis! We did all 3 of their houses which cost 25 bucks for all three. Trust me, its well worth the money. The 3 haunts were called Dark Matter, Tormented, and Twisted. The Dark Matter haunt was 3D and was pretty cool but not near as scary as the other 2 haunts they have. The lines weren’t that bad. I don’t really think this is too kid friendly though so be warned. My girl hates, hates, hates, haunted houses and I think she hates me too now for bringing her.

This was definitely worth the money. Great actors. Great houses. They scared us. We did two of the houses. We did not do the newest attraction, the maze. The 3D one was fabulous. Definitely go here!

This business is a haunted house for the Halloween season. I’m sure this is seasonal as I have not seen it here before. It was open last year in this same location. Went last night. They have two haunted houses in one, Dark Matter and Tormented. I will review Dark Matter first. Dark Matter is more of a visual thrill than an actual hanuted house. You still have people jumping out trying to scare you but not as much as Tormented. In Dark Matter you wear 3d glasses for your walk through. Lots of skeletons hanging all over the place with 3d paint on them. Some VERY trippy visuals as you walk through. As soon as you enter you walk through a tunnel spinning around you and the way the tunnel looks with your 3d glasses is a big trip. Other than this the rest of the walk through is pretty trippy with some demented clowns jumping out and scaring you. Sometimes you don’t know where to go. This is why they say if you dont know where to go, keep walking and you will find out. lol. This one is good and should be kid friendly if the kid doesn’t mind people popping out every once in a while. Felt like we were on our own a lot walking through as there wasn’t very many people popping out. This one is supposed to be a little bit more friendly and I got a sense of that which is good. It would still be creepy for a kid but it is toned down a hair.
Tormented — This was good. This is the gory blood bath one. Not sure if the theme changes every year but this year was a mad doctor killing his patients or something like that. This was like a warehouse and you walk from scene to scene. The detail and and the realness and professionalism was SUPERB. People really got into their part and and just the detail of everything was awesome. For example, one scene we walked into a room where a nurse turned around and pulled a head out of the sink and was holding a butcher knife. Blood on her hands and face and clothing and the head looked real and she said, weve been expecting you. It was just so good. Lots of gore and freaky stuff. I was smiling the whole time, it was great. I do have two complaines about tormented. 1– When you walk in someone is standing above you and you can see them through a metal grate in the floor. They were shocking the metal grate with I believe live electricity. It simply makes a spark and a loud pop sound. My complaint is I believe one of the sparks grazed my face. Though the spark may not have had enough energy or heat to do anything by the time it got to me this could turn some people off. My other complaint is when something pops out to scare you (a human in a costume) they tend to follow you to creep you out. This goes on at every haunted house I have been to but it made my wife unconfortable here. Not because a creepy thing was following you but because how close they followed you. Literally right on top of you, literally. As close as you can get to someone without touching them which is very clsoe. And they would follow you for 2 – 3 different scenes. It was like ok, enough is enough go back to your post. I can stand the following for a shot distance but it was bothersom. Other than these I would go again and recommend both. Make sure whoever you are with is going to go, no money back and it is 10 bucks a piece. At the end of Tormented you have to walk through an area with bodies hanging from the ceiling that are wrapped in pastic. You almost have to push them out of your way. This was cool.
