As a woman in my early 30s, I felt it was time to buy my first real couch. Like, not a futon. A couch. And a matching chair. Or something. I only had a loose idea of what I might want, so I wandered into the Wolfchase Havertys location. I spoke with Susan, who offered to call the Winchester outlet and see if they had styles similar to the one I liked. A few days later, I got a call from Virginia at the Winchester location. She told me there was lots of new stuff in, and that I should come by and check it out. I walked in and found a set I liked right away, for a reasonable price. I left happy! My pieces were delivered later that day(later that day!!!) by a third party contractor Havertys works with often: Justin at Point A to Point B Delivery. See my review of them for more info. Pretty soon though, my lovely pieces started shedding feathers. They were poking out everywhere. I called the customer support line and they asked me to upload some pics of the problem. After about a week, they called me back saying that, since it seemed like a manufacturing problem, I could have an exchange(even though the outlet is as-is, final sale). I went back to the store and spoke with Virginia. She knew I was coming in all the way from Midtown, so she said she’d keep an eye out for matching sets that were similar, and call me when she saw something. She absolutely looked out for me. I got a call several days later, and excitedly drove out to Winchester. Virginia walked through the entire store with me, pointing out things that matched. It was clear that she wanted me to end up happy. I was ready to leave, when she pointed out one last set I’d overlooked. The price was a little higher than what I had already spent, so she was able to arrange a discount. It was just above and beyond. I got the new set delivered, and the old set taken away, again by Justin. If you’re looking for furniture, do yourself a favor and make the drive out to this place. They get new shipments every week. Most of the pieces were floor samples, or returned by other people. Some have minor rips, or damage where the piece was dragged, so be sure to really look at all sides of it, if that kind of thing bothers you. Ask for Virginia. She really is an excellent salesperson who is not *just* about making the sale.
