Hippie Geek

I was drawn to this store by the giant peace sign tapestry hanging out front. The actual sign was makeshift. No big deal, I was still curious to see what was inside.
It’s an array of items, mainly hemp bags and purses, some pretty cute ones — one was emblazoned with ‘LOVE’ for $ 24. The kind of stuff that you’d see at Woodstock or a Grateful Dead concert. Photos of John Lennon and Jim Morrison lined the floor — the store looks like it’s still being put together. Also spotted were some very cute sundresses — also $ 24. The prices were very reasonable. There was the incense — good kinds, cones and rods, and also those rope sandals that look extremely uncomfortable, but are allegedly quite the opposite.
I ended up settling on a macramé water bottle holder that slings over your shoulder. A great idea for me, as I’m always losing them on my outings — and at the price, $ 5, it couldn’t be beat.
