I never thought in a million years that I would end up in a hardware store… but I wanted to buy blue spray paint to put a blue line on my curb to support the Memphis Police Department. And this is a local hardware store… and I love to support local… so in I went. These guys are SONICE. Obviously I look out of place so they pointed me in the right direction instead of letting me aimlessly wander around. They also sell more than your typical hardware supplies. They have pet goods and everything is reasonably priced. Support local!

I love this little hardware store. I went there today because Lowe’s was SOLDOUT of lime to mix with my fertilizer. Not only did they have it, but a nice girl in the store recommended a more concentrated brand, and convinced me to go for a weed treatment fertilizer blend rather than just fertilizer. It was quick and easy, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I always feel better when I shop local and avoid the big corporate stores like Lowe’s or Home Depot.

Wondering where customer service has gone lately? Stop shopping at Home Depot and Lowes and come to Hubbards and you’ll see exactly where it went. Shopping at Hubbards is like it used to be. Personal friendly service, good selection… and you are supporting a small business not corporate blood suckers. I rank Home Dept and Lowes right there with Walmart as part of what is ruining this country, I try to shop small as often as possible. I will buy whatever I can, whenever I can from Hubbards.

Nice people and nice store. I’ve lived near Hubbard’s for 13 years and they have always been helpful. The employees that I have dealt with have been knowledgeable and friendly. They have many things that Lowe’s, down the street, has in stock. Certainly they don’t have everything, but if you need a plumbing part, a key made, a lawnmower part, a screen made or some mulch, it is so much easier to stop there, than to go to Lowe’s. I’m very glad that they have remained in business since Lowe’s opened. It’s nice to have a neighborhood hardware store! FYI — I do not work for Hubbard’s, nor do I know anyone who is employed there.
