If what you are looking for is Fried chicken with biscuits and gravy. Stop here… actually drive through here. No place to sit down but a quick meal in the car worked. Burger was quite pleasing and flavorful as well. Sweet tea is the real deal. Tried to hit Marlowe’s but it didn’t open til 4. This was a lovely end to our Graceland tour makin’ us ponder if The King himself had with Jack Pirtle himself back in the day.

It is what it is. The authentic – fried chicken, a biscuit, and gravy to dip. Southern is its own style with that black pepper bite. A yummy stop right near the Memphis Airport. Dinner for $ 5. Tough to beat.

The two-​piece white chicken dinner with cole slaw and beans was a perfect lunch for me, and The Colonel has nothing on Jack Pirtle’s. Dip the chicken in the cup of gravy, top it off with a real Sweet Tea and you’re set. MMMMMMemphis! You’re in the right place.
