Dr. Elliott is a Midtown gem. A visit to the office doesn’t have the«transactional» feel that I have become accustom to in the medical field. It’s the feel that I had when I was a kid that I was visiting an expert that wanted to help me take care of myself. My family will be visiting him for years to come.

You know those dental offices where the dentist is so busy and important that he appears in the room for all of five minutes at the end of your visit and says something you don’t understand about an occlusion on 31, then ducks out not to be seen again? This isn’t one of those. Everything about this appointment felt very personal — I was the only patient in the office, so I got in and out quickly and with no interminable wait for the dentist to pop in at the end of my cleaning. He introduced himself at the beginning of the appointment, and took the time to tell me what he was looking at/for in my mouth. No «hard sell» for Invisalign or laser tooth-whitening here.(Granted, those things have their place, but since I’m not in the market, it was nice not to have to entertain the suggestion). I also appreciated that this office did not insist on taking x-ray images even though I was transferring from another state and didn’t have images for them to look at. They ascertained that my insurance only covers 1 set of x-rays per calendar year(I’d already had mine, at my old dentist out-of-state), so they said that we could x-ray next time. After bad experiences with other dental practices doing any number of procedures and billing my insurance, then having the charges rejected by the insurance so that they came out of my pocket, this was a totally refreshing approach. It was nice to have a conversation with the dentist, to have my appointment start on time, and to be in and out in under an hour with convenient parking. There’s not a lot of glitz and glamour about this place, but the personal touch and competent practice will have me coming back!
