I love food trucks. And I love philly cheese steaks! So I finally tried MarksGrille for the first time when they were at the Highland Church in Cordova last week. I was super psyched about trying it, since I’ve only heard good things. However, I was a little disappointed. While the portion was a GREAT size, lots of meat, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms… The sandwich was LOADED with salt. I couldn’t even eat one half of the sandwich because of how salty it was. I’m guessing it was the seasoning they used… But the same goes for the fries. The fries were so salty that my mouth literally started watering and it was pretty difficult to eat the fries too. I will have to try it again. One more time. Because I believe in second chances! Will be sure to update my review if it’s better than last time!

Tried them for the first time and thought they were really good! Food was yummy and reasonably priced. They also have a black bean burger option for vegetarians that was delicious! Their fries are yummy too. Apparently you can keep track of their whereabouts on twitter. Would definitely grab a quick lunch from these guys. Worth it!

This is one of the best food trucks in Memphis. Best. Philly. Cheese. Steak. Period. Not to mention great shoestring fries. Awesome staff, they travel all over the city from Millington to downtown. They also have burgers, tacos, gyros. There’s something for everybody! Do yourself a favor and follow them on Twitter, find out where they’re gonna be and get yourself some damn good food!

So I saw this food truck in downtown Memphis which I saw some really good reviews from other Unilocalers. When I came up to the window the lady told me they were completely out of Phillys cheese steaks which I was kind shocked and bummed. So I got the steak tacos and chicken pita with their fries which came out to $ 20 so I was kind of hoping for greatness in my mouth. Which I will say the food is pretty mind blowing good. I really hope they look at maybe lowering the prices. I would be a customer for a very long time.

We tried this truck out this weekend at Tennessee Brewery. Since we were just looking for a snack we just got an order of fries. They were some of the best fries ever, super thin shoe string, hand cut and crunchy I am sold on this truck by just having the fries. I do hope they will be back at the brewery because I would love to try their whole menu. The people running the truck were super friendly and service was very fast. There was a long line but they were turning out orders like a fast food restaurant. If you come across this truck you need to give them a try!

Good gyros. Not small or big in size, but about just right. The $ 8.00 price for it is borderline high, but it was delicious!

First time here. Decided from past reviews that I was going to try the cheese steak. I opted for peppers and mushrooms. In short, it was wonderful. While the $ 8 price tag scared me at first, I soon saw the size of this steak behemoth. The roll was fantastic and stood up against the weight of the fillings. The steak was cut well and the veggies were tender. This sandwich needs to be tried by all.

This place is great! I stumbled upon their food truck during one HOT and sweaty Saturday afternoon at Saddle Creek /Paws for a Cause. We were actually on our way to eat, but I looked them up on Unilocal real quick and Kyle’s review was what reeled me in. While I have yet to experience the luxuriousness of the Legit Philly Cheesesteak from Philadelphia(its always sunny) itself; I have had my fair share of philly-transported-to-nyc cheesesteaks. so I dont consider myself a know-nothing about this food item! Mark’s Food Truck made the PERFECT philly cheesesteak! They load it up with TONSOFMEAT!!! You’re DEFINITELY getting your money’s worth here! They have just the right amount of cheese, onions, and green peppers in there. but the real shining star of the sandwich was the Meat and the Bread. YUMMIES!!! HIGHLYRECOMMENDEDYOUGUYS!!! I also got their fries which they said were hand cut themselves. They’re thin fries(just how I like them) and So delicious!!! Fountain drinks are unlimited refills as long as the Truck is around that spot; so I would say go for your monies worth and order the fountain drink and not the water or anything else. I have yet to try the other items on the menu, but I may not because I found what I love and it is DELICIOUS!!! GO!!!

Mark’s Grill food truck was a scrumptious reward that awaited me after I took my puppy for a walk at the ginormous Shelby Farms park. The«Real Deal» Philly Cheesesteak was DELICIOUS! Not a ‘real deal’ in the sense of Pat’s famous Philly Cheesesteaks with Cheez Whiz, but a ‘real deal’ in every mouth watering provolone laden, rib-eye steak bite! Happy to find a GREAT place to have Philly cheesesteak outside of Philadelphia!

My favorite thing about this spring has been food truck Fridays at the Dixon Galleries. That’s where I had my first encounter with Mark’s Grill. Everything on the menu looked so appealing, I had a hard time deciding what to order. Everyone else helped me out, because they were running out of things when I got there. I wound up ordering the tacos, with avocado cucumber sauce, slaw, cheese and tomatoes. I really would love to try a gyro next time, but I don’t know if I have it in me to choose anything other than the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. My friend had the chicken Philly, and she said it was exceptional. If you ever see Mark’s Grill parked and serving, do yourself a favor and stop. Order anything, but make sure you have him put the avocado cucumber sauce on it!

Finding a serviceable cheesesteak outside of Philly is about as likely as finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow while out riding a unicorn with your buddy Bigfoot. It just doesn’t happen. I’ve looked high and low and only found disappointment. That was until today. I didn’t have high hopes for Mark’s. In fact, I never have high hopes for any cheesesteak i order outside the Realm of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. But Mark’s delivered! Juicy, thinly sliced steak. Caramelized onions and peppers. Ketchup, mustard, and relish, just like home. And PROVOLONE cheese!(Don’t listen to Leo and his ludicrous and preposterous claim that real Philly Cheesesteaks come with«whiz». Keep your man-made, laboratory produced, aerosol pressurized, CFC producing, artificial coloring having viscosity away from steak). Mark’s grill receives(wait for it) high Marks(had to do it) for attempting and, succeeding, on recreating a local delicacy far from home.

Really good freshly made food on a truck. Mark the owner and his subordinates are always friendly to talk to. They put cheese whiz on your cheese steak if you order the true Phillly way. You need to follow them on Twitter to find out where they are going day to day, but totally worth it!

I tried Mark’s Grill for the first time at a Sunday Food Truck Rodeo at Shelby Farms. The gyros there rivals any that you get at a Mediterranean sit-down restaurant so I highly recommend it. The first thing I look for in a classic gyro is how juicy and tender the meat is – and Mark’s Grill definitely has that.

if you read my previous review there was one thing missing, Cheese Whiz! I took to Twitter to right this wrong, and Mark’s Grill responded. Cheese Whiz is now on the menu! I’ve been to Pat’s in Philly several times, which is what I consider the real deal, and Mark’s is making a solid effort. They ship in the Amoroso rolls from Philly is a big help, bread matters a lot for a sandwich and bread’s taste is dependent on the local water. A++ for the effort. The steak is the correct kind and cooked properly. Peppers and/or onions are optional, I complained before that they were a bit al-dente before and the last ones we got were cooked more, so I think they are listening to feedback. Of course, don’t forget the Cheese Whiz which to me makes the sandwich. Any hot sandwich can be improved by adding more Cheese Whiz. If man-made cheese-like product is not your thing, provolone is an option. They serve other stuff too, I’m not sure why anyone would care when there are cheese steaks on Amoroso rolls with Cheese Whiz, but to each their own. The hand cut fries are a nice side dish. The gyro sandwich is good, only 4-star good. Haven’t tried the hot dog yet. They seem to have regular spots at WKNO in Cordova on Thursdays, and Shelby Farms on Sundays. Otherwise watch twitter to see where they show up next.

Mark’s Grill advertises a «real deal» Philly cheesesteak, so I was downright giddy to see it at the Cordova WKNO food truck gathering yesterday. The owner ships in the hoagies straight from Philly. I ordered a cheesesteak with a side of hand cut fries, expecting glory. The fries were absolutely delicious and enough to share between two people. The cheesesteak, however, seemed lacking in flavor. I will say I’ve never been to Philly, so I guess I don’t know what the«real deal» tastes like. I had to add a little salt, though. My hunny and I both agreed that perhaps putting the cheese(provolone here… no options for wiz) on top of the sandwich instead of the bottom may have remedied the situation. It wasn’t a terrible sandwich, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. Next time I’ll probably order the gyro. For my next cheesesteak fix, I think I’ll stick with Yang’s.
