This is more of a family friendly festival so bring the kids… a huge kid area with inflatable obstacle course, moon bounce and rock climbing wall. The food here is always so good there is a plate dinner they serve in the church but I prefer the food outside in the tent. Everything is reasonably priced about $ 5-$ 7 for each item. The people running all the booths and food tables are very friendly and helpful just very nice people running this whole thing. The must haves are the Greek pizza, flaming cheese and spanakopia! There were more vendors set up this year offering unique gifts and jewelry. Be sure to get there early gates close and 8:00!

Grea fun! I have been in Memphis for about five or six of these and this was the first time that I was motivated(thanks to my better half) to go and fight the traffic and the crowd. I am glad I did and I will ensure to go to all future Greek Festivals that I am in town for. Tons of greek/mediterranin dishes, great live music, vendors and games. The Pizz with spinach, tomato and feta was great. I also had the pork kaboob that was delicious. This is a great event for the community.

This is my first time coming and this festival is really great. The food is awsome and they have great entertainment for the family. I mist admit this is the first time I came to a church and they sell alcohol.

Great family friendly festival! My parents brought us since we were kids and now we all come as idiot adults! Not the largest festival in the city but it has fun music, great food, adult drinks, and stuff for the kids all wrapped up in one. Come on out and get some Greek culture in Memphis!

This is more of an eating festival than anything else — and the food is very good. The main food problem is that the lines are extremely long and chaotically unorganized at times. Also, i was expecting more booths with arts and crafts, but there were only 2 or 3 at most, mostly just selling cheap sovenir type items. There needs to be more vendors. Most of the festival area is comprised of tables at which to sit and eat. The parking is pretty bad. However, free shuttles operate to and from from Poplar Plaza and to/from St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

It is true that I suffer from Hellenomania(obsession with Greece and the Greeks; also known as Graecomania). Greek food, culture, language, you name it — I love it. And maybe that is why I walked away a bit disappointed… I just kinda thought there would be more vendors and things to do… Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I went… but having spent a semester in Greece and just getting back from vacation there, I know how awesome everything Greek is… and this festival just seemed low key and small(then again, we are in Memphis soooo there’s that). And granted, the weather this year was disgusting and the tents were flooding, but for the amount of people who come to this event… they should offer more entertainment and booths. Plus not everything there was Greek… which really confused me. Why were they at the Greek festival if their products are not Greek? I still go every year but here’s hoping they make it bigger and better next year…
