We offer a wide variety of services here at the Memphis Guitar Spa. Our shop is equipt to handle anything from basic instrument setups and restringing, to re-​bracing and total overhauls.

We offer competitive rates, and guarantee all of our work that leaves the shop.

Retail services include everything for setups, nut and saddle work, fret work, hardware replacement, electronics, and structural/​wood repairs. We also concentrate in vintage reconstruction and replacement.

We also offer the finest finishing work in the mid-​south, and also do commercial finishes for other builders around the country.

History

Established in 2004.

The Memphis Guitar Spa is a custom build shop, featuring handcrafted, one of a kind stringed instruments. While they have primarily built basses, guitars and mandolins on spec and to order, in 2014 the shop will be introducing some of their own regular models, available in small runs for discerning musicians. They will remain hand crafted and available only directly from the Spa. One of the things that really sets TMGS apart is their extraordinary finish work and inlay, which they also do for other builders as well. The location on Broad also has a very busy repair and restoration shop for all stringed instruments. Started by Kevin Ferner in 2004, The Guitar Spa became The Memphis Guitar Spa when he relocated back to Memphis in 2009.
