Methodist Minor Medical Center Midtown

We are visiting my nieces at college over Thanksgiving weekend. My sister had cut her finger earlier in the week and not sought medical attention. However after a few days was concerned whether it was healing properly.
So Sunday at around 11am we went to Methodist Minor Medical Center to have it assessed. There was no wait, the facility was clean, staff were friendly, and the doctor was knowledgable and helpful.
We would recommend this facility to anyone needing care.

I was provided with most excellent care at Methodist minor medical. About a month ago I had a bad ankle flare up, and like the genius that I am, I decided to let it heal on its own. That didn’t happen. I came in, the receptionists were very pleasant, I saw a doctor quickly, and I was able to be diagnosed quickly and head back to work quickly. Could not really ask for much more. Highly recommended!

Visited the Methodist Minor Med on Monday, Aug 17. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. The nurse practitioner and staff diagnosed my partner promptly — and did it with compassion and care. Thanks for everything ladies!

I barely remember my visit, since it was in March 2014. For a Sunday afternoon, it was… fine. I got the meds I needed and got out.
However. How. Ever. The billing has been a nightmare. I was originally charged $ 100 at the clinic, due to my lousy insurance coverage (or so they said). The full charges amounted to about $ 70, and since I moved two months later, I spent quite a while trying to track down my refund, since for some reason they insisted on cutting a check instead of just crediting my card back. Check finally received, I thought that was the end of it.
Until I received a new bill, in June 2015. What? When I called, I was told there was one — ONE — person that could look up billing for last year. Messages went unreturned, and it eventually transpired that she had been out for two weeks, not that anyone seemed to know that. After that wait, I was told that my insurance had reprocessed the claim and determined I owed a higher amount. I was told to call the insurance company for further explanation, even though I no longer have that insurance (this being a year and a half later) and don’t have any of my information. And is this even legal???
My advice: avoid like the plague, even if you have it.

Had to come in for a pre-​rotation drug screen and it’s taken at least an hour, maybe even longer (I’m still waiting.) Granted I came at the busiest time of the day (4:30) I’m not sure why it would take so long to let me pee in a cup.
If you are coming for a drug test expect to wait just like everyone else.
They did take a bleeding kid in right away which I’m sure the mother appreciated so I”ll increase the rating to 2 stars for her, although I’m certain it’ll only prolong my wait time.

I don’t understand why others have given this place a bad review. I was traveling on business and came down with the flu so I checked the area for Urgent Care facilities. This was close and didn’t appear crowded so I took a chance. The front desk staff was very nice and the amount of paperwork needed was reasonable. It took over an hour to see the doc, take a blood test and get out but I think that is pretty quick for a walk in clinic! I have nothing bad to say about this facility and would definitely recommend them.

Waited for over an hour for a simple pre-​employment drug screening. The waiting room was not even crowded. I would never recommend this minor med.

After being sick for a week and a half I visited this facility. What brought me here specifically was that it was open until 9pm. I showed up around 8pm and there wasn’t a single person there — score! My wait time was less then 20 minutes and I was seen within a few minutes of being taken back. The doctor prescribed me some meds and sent me on my way. No more than an hour total. They electronically sent my meds to the pharmacy which did not actually arrive there which was annoying, but when I called the next day they happily called the pharmacy to have the meds rushed.
All in all, not a bad place. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done! Can’t ask for much when you need a doc after dark.

First, I am a Travel RN working in Memphis. I needed an annual chest xray. I waited for them to open at 2pm was the 2^nd in line. I provided my ins card and id. The first pt was called in and I was called to the front desk and told that my insurance was out of network and would not cover the cost. I asked how much it would be and was told 75 for the office visit and 70 for a 2 view xray. I decided to just pay for it since i was at the head of the line. I sat to wait my turn (next) and I was called back to the window as the 3^rd person in line was called back to see the Dr. I was told «sorry, but we gave you the wrong price» They explained since i was out of network, it would be 165 to see the Dr and then 70 for the xray. What the heck? Forget the insurance I am a cash customer!!! IS THAT LEGAL? Changing the price like that?
Furthermore, they had a TV in the lobby already on and too loud when they unlocked the doors. It was the Jeremy Kyle show… It had couples yelling at each other and every other word was bleeped out. NOT PROFESSIONAL.
I wouldn’t send my dog there.

A good amount of time was spent with doctor and it helped!
