Since 2003, Midtown Eye Care has been the leader and preferred provider of quality vision care products and personalized optometric services to our Midtown Eye Care opticalpatients in Memphis and the surrounding areas. Our experienced doctors and staff offer comprehensive vision examinations and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye diseases, conditions, and problems.

Business Owner

Dr. Jared Powelson is no stranger to Memphis, in fact you could call him a ‘native midtowner’. He grew up in Central Gardens and attended both grade school and high school in Midtown. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from UT Martin and the Southern College of Optometry (SCO). Dr. Powelson completed a fellowship at Southern Eye Associates in East Memphis, specializing in ocular disease and refractive surgery care. Dr. Powelson has since been in private practice as well as an Associate Professor at SCO.
