Too crowded. Did not get to see the concert. They need to consider getting seating for guest, so it wont be over crowded

We were very impressed with this venue! My fiancé and I attended Borgore here and the atmosphere was wonderful. It was very easy to get around the venue and we loved the different areas where you could stand. We had plenty of room for dancing and it was great to be able to attend a show like this in Memphis. Please keep bringing more electronic music here! We fully enjoyed ourselves and definitely will attend another show here. Also, thank you to the lovely staff member who gave us a water bottle. We were dancing the night away and she kindly passed one our way without hesitation. Wonderful hospitality.

It’s been remodeled and looks a lot better. I don’t think the VIP seating makes much sense. It takes up a TON of space and if you’re in the booth you can’t see a whole lot over the standing room crowd. Over-all the place is much better now. I’ll need to go another time or two to get a good feel of it.

Wow! Has this placed cleaned up? Yes! I am not sure what it took to get the funky smell out of there but they did it. Bathrooms will always be small but they are clean & newly redone. Easy bar access. The only thing that is a bit confusing is the VIP seats. Great idea but cost & how you monitor who sits there needs review. Great job New Daisy! I had sworn I would never come back but you guys proved me wrong.

I have been coming to the Daisy for as long as I can remember. My one and only Primus concert was here so I have very fond memories of the place! It has been a long time since I have been here. Last night was the unveiling of the newly remodeled«New» New Daisy. They have put in new carpet and cleaned the place up quite a bit but it is still the Daisy. They have added a bunch of chandeliers and a couple more bar areas but the vibe is still very much the same. The new lighting is pretty cool but I kept getting blasted in the eyes with strong laser lighting the entire Chris Robinson show. It didn’t matter where I stood I kept getting eye raped by the lights. I am not sure if it is always like that now or the band’s lighting guy was a dick. I will say the lighting makes the place look a bit cooler but keep it out of my face. I am not a Rock Star for a reason… Sound was really good but again that could be the band. It will take another visit to get a real feel for what the venue now has to offer. The one thing that hasn’t changed a bit is the bathrooms… They are gross and not nearly enough of them. The place was maybe 75% full and the lines for the bathrooms were stupid.

After dipping into several of the bars along Beale Street we stopped in front of New Daisy Theater and danced and danced with the band performing out front. In between sets there was a DJ spinning tunes and lots of line dancing going on. There are two outdoor bars on both sides of the street serving up drinks. This was by far the most entertaining part of my evening.

I will say this place really needs a makeover and some vacuuming needed. But I will say the comedy show that I went to was worth the $ 10. I know that when they have rock shows at the daisy it’s freakin packed but not this time around.

This is one gross little venue. That said, we’re lucky to have such a place in Memphis. It’s located right on Beale Street and typically willing(if not very politely) to let your garage band have a shot at a real show. I know quite a few young musicians who got their first gig here. Every once in a million years, the venue hosts something I’d actually pay money to see for non-sentimental reasons. I saw Rancid here when I was a teenager and it was awesome. The only thing I really can’t stand about the place, and how it got two stars, is that their sound system is crap. I mean CRAP. Half the time I can’t hear the vocalists and the base reverberates so loudly that it’s actually painful to listen to. I came here to hear the whole band; not one bass and a lot of interference. So don’t plan on going here for a high class cultural evening. It’s dirty, and stinky, and lacking in the kind of character that would normally make those things ok. But without it, our young musicians community would be missing out on something pretty special.

This place is a total wreck, and needs to be renovated badly. It is old really not that clean and the bathrooms are horrible… so ladies go somewhere before you get there! On the bright side though I have seen some great shows here and would go despite the place being a dump. It is standing only and can get pretty packed. The location is great you can hang out on Beale the walk down to see your concert. Also, the staff at the concerts have always been great from the security to the guys at the front door.

This is a great venue for live music shows and I’ve had a lot of good times here. The one big negative I’ve had here was during college at a sorority formal I was taken to and they«confiscated» my dates liquor which was sort of a real bastard move but that was by one grumpy fat ass loser. The bathrooms are also a bit inadequate when they draw a big crowd. It has some nice architectural features inside and along with the theater seating it still leaves a nice space in the front for dancing. They have some great New Year’s Eve shows here and I’ve also had some great Halloween times here.

I’ve only been here once — to see Arlo Guthrie and Rambling Jack Elliott when they were doing the Katrina trip from Chicago to NOLA. It was a good time. I can’t say the acoustics were so good and the place is tired and sorta dirty, but I had a good time.

If you live in Memphis and you like music, chances are you’ve seen a concert at the New Daisy. This is one of the best places in town to see a live show. The venue is large, but not too large. Loud, but not too loud. There is seating, but most folks prefer to stand, soak up the atmosphere and experience the music. The live artists featured are all so different that there is something offered for every musical taste. I’ve seen Saliva, Robert Earl Keen, Justin Timberlake and Deep Blue Something, to name a few. Prince even played a supersecret afterparty there after a live show at The Pyramid. That’s how cool this place is. Located on Beale Street, there’s plenty to do before or after a show, making this venue a great starting point for a fun night out.

They have amateur boxing and kickboxing here though I remember it as more of a music venue. Many different styles play here; blues, rock, metal, established bands, up and comers and indie artists. It’s right on Beale Street so there are a lot of places to eat and drink nearby too. It’s a larger sized venue with enough room for a good show. The staff is professional and I’ve never had a bad night at the New Daisy. It’s my favorite theater in Memphis.
