I have been using Party Concepts for 25 years both in my business and personal life. On average, 4 – 6 times per year. The last few years, I’ve noticed a significant decline in their service and products. It starts with the exterior and interior of their building. It’s all in bad shape– peeling paint, rotting wood, driveway is a mess. But, the inside store space is like walking into a total disaster. Honestly, it makes me uncomfortable to go in and after my last experience the weekend if May 14th, 2016, I won’t. It’s simply a chaotic mess in the store which totally reflects the business it has become. This is so sad to me. I rented some chairs, tables, plates, linens. Etc for a graduation party. Inside the 2 ladies working are in the side area off the showroom which is odd space anyway. No clear area to check in, place an order, get help. After a less than prompt acknowledgement of my being there, one offered to help me. They had to clean off a chair to make space for me to sit down. Once I did, she was helpful with suggestions, wrote up the contract, and took my money. We decided on a delivery day the morning of the Friday prior to my event with a pickup on Tuesday after the event only because their Monday schedule was always so packed. This was no problem for me as I could just rearrange my work schedule as needed. On delivery day, I was instructed they would call when they were on the way. I waited at my house all morning. At 1:00 pm I started calling as I was concerned and now needed to run the errands I had postponed in the AM to wait for them. Their phone was busy until 4:00 pm so I drove over to Party Concepts to ascertain if I was receiving my delivery or not. I was fairly concerned by now. When I walked in their were several people ahead of me also experiencing some issues and there was only 1 lady working. When I got to the counter, the lady said yes, my delivery driver was coming but they had been behind all day due to a shortage in staff. I asked about the phone situation and she explained that she the phone had been crazy all day. Not sure what this means but I was never able to get through. She said the driver would be there around 5 pm but would call before he leaves the stop ahead of me. Ok, I go back home and wait. He does arrive close to 5 but never calls. The delivery-I’ll start by saying the delivery driver was very nice but was by himself. I ordered 210 foot round tables which were VERY difficult for him to remove from the large delivery truck by himself. He actually tried to back into my driveway first and realized the pitch of the driveway was too much as he left a 1 inch gauge in the concrete. Anyway, he literally rolled and dropped the tables off the truck and got them up my driveway. He forgot the plates so he offered to drive back to party concepts and get them immediately. I told him he could bring them back Saturday but he indicated that Saturday would be even crazier so he’d better do it now which I appreciated. Again, he was nice but looked kind of crazed. He did bring the plates back. When we set the tables up, one of the wooden tables was so damaged and splintered that we had to use duck tape in it before putting the linens on it so our guests wouldn’t hurt themselves. Probably from dropping it off the truck but; honestly, the tables were in such bad shape period. To top it off, I get a call while in a meeting at work the following Monday that Party Concepts is at my house to pick up? what? After all that, they had asked me to let them pick up Tuesday and I had agreed because it was better for them. It was par for the course, with this experience. My big concern here is that Party Concepts no longer acts like they want to be in business or be a good neighbor. Perhaps they are about close which would be a loss for midtown. If not, they need to completely regroup on what they want the experience of their customer to be.

I will never again rent anything from this company. The week of my event, the time for delivery on tables and chairs was changed four different times. The day of my event, the delivery was supposed to be made at noon, but the delivery deiver called at 8am. I had to change the schedule of events to accommodate that time. I was told the tables and chairs would be picked up the next day before noon. At 11am, I called to confirm because I hadn’t heard anything, at which time, I was advised they had other things to do and would not be picking them up within that time frame. The place we used for our event had been rented for that day by someone else, and they were trying to decorate, while we were in their way. Apparently the delivery driver told someone in the office they had spoken to me and attempted to pick up the tables and chair, but they didn’t. They also didn’t care that aomeone else had rented the venue and we were causing a delay on their event. HORRIBLE company.

Awesome service and very professional. There rental rates are Great. The ladies was real helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back.
