Great place, great people, great service!

While traveling across country on our way back to Virginia we had our tire blow out. I found these guys through a Google search and I was not disappointed. The customer service is out of this world; friendly and helpful. They had my minivan in the shop within 5 minutes. Within 30 minutes they were able to patch it and our family vacation was back in action. I am very thankful to have found such a great tire shop. I highly recommend regardless of the circumstances to use this place.

I went to Performance Tire after being a Firestone customer for 3 years. I only needed a patch for an old tire, which is why I’m keeping my rating at a conservative 4 stars. I will definitely return the next time I have a bigger need and alter my rating accordingly. However my experience today at Performance was VERY encouraging! They were understanding to my situation and my needs. They didn’t pressure me to do more than was needed and were 100% respectful. I will definitely be back.

While driving across the country I developed a slow leak in one tire and some damage to another. The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful, even helping with something not car related. If Memphis wasn’t so far from home I would definitely be back here next time I needed tires.

Awesome place! Traveling through from California and hit something that punctured our tire. Searched on the map and found this place not too far from us. Excellent customer service abs very quick service.

I wanted an allignment on my Z71. The allignment guy said he couldn’t perform one due to a problem that a mechanic should fix first. The front desk guy refused to tell me what was wrong but said for $ 69.00 their mechanic could assess the problem and the $ 69.00 would go toward the repair. It took less than one minute to say there was a problem but for $ 69.00 to tell what the problem is?
Another shop lifted my truck up and inspected every front end component. Needless to say, there absolutely NOTHING wrong that prevent a computerized front end allignment…

I ended up at performance tire because that is the shop service king uses for repairs. Now I’m going to start with all the good and I want to make it clear I am by no means telling you not to go. The guys are great they are very nice and honest. I personally trust them, they never speak down to a customer or blow a customer off. Now why they have 4 instead of 5 stars. Outside of tries and very basic maintenance I wouldn’t use them. They managed to miss a huge power steering leak, my control arms are bad, ball joint on the driver and sway link bar is cracked. My truck was in a head on collision that’s normally things that should be checked and yet they have been missed on 3 occasions. After the third time and the truck still pulling I finally took it somewhere else who found all this damage from the accident that hadn’t been addressed. Now since they use performance tire as their shop and they missed the repairs guess who is paying out of pocket. The driver side tire was damaged and had to be replaced as well as the radiator and other major parts. Why they would not check the tire assembly and steering is beyond me. But for a simple oil change and tires yes. You can trust them and they are fair but, leave the big stuff to the other guys.

The guys at Performance Tire were exceptional. I was passing through Memphis on a road trip when I noticed a screw in my tire. I found their positive reviews on Unilocal and called to check on prices. Sam answered and was professional and genuine, giving me prices and estimated wait time. I dropped my Range Rover off at their shop, and Ralph even gave me a ride to the gym (and picked me up!) while the car was being serviced. I got it back in an hour as promised, tire patched and ready for the road. I drove to New Orleans that same day, and 3,000 miles later the car is running perfectly, tire and all. I highly recommend these guys, they’re the real deal.

I needed a used car inspection, and they worked me on with no notice. Two hours later, I was out the door, armed with the information I needed to help negotiate the purchase of the car. The service was reasonably priced, thorough and clear, and the customer service was outstanding. I highly recommend them!

Go above & beyond on service. Good christian owned establishment. Tire prices are always the lowest. Service department with Ron is always honest & trustworthy. Always first place take all my vehicles.

Great efficient service and thank you for fitting me in last minute! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly:) will definitely go back when in town.

Performance Tire was recommended by my mechanic (Brian Massey) as a good choice for tires. I’ve bought from independents, factory stores (i.e Firestone, Goodyear) and chains (Sams, Costco, NTB, Tire Mart). If I have to buy tires I REALLY like buying from Performance. I’ve now bought tires for two different vehicles and stopped in for rotations, balances, and «…something doesn’t feel right» visits. My resounding 5 Star Rating (which I VERY RARELY give) is for a few different reasons.
1.) The advice is always founded upon reasonable and logical decision making born of experience. It seems every time I did business with chains and factory stores I sensed that the diagnosis and advice was influenced on a need to hit corporate revenue goals. No matter who I spoke with at Performance (Syd the Owner, Sam his son, or the guys in the shop — sorry don’t know their names), the diagnosis and advice was as straight as you’d get from your best friend. It’s more than simple honesty or integrity; it’s…just the way you want to be dealt with.
2.) I shopped PT’s prices both times I was buying new. The prices were always competitive. Though I’d possibly pay an extra $ 40 to $ 100 versus chains and factory stores due to my positive experiences, it would rub against my thrifty (cheap-​skate) instincts. The first time I visited the price given to me was about $ 40 or $ 50 more than the same 4 tires at Sam’s. I asked Sam, «…convince me why I should buy here.» I don’t remember exactly what he said, though I’m sure it included «free rotation/​balance and other stuff», but what sealed the deal in my mind essentially, «we’ll take care of you if there’s a problem».
3.) To my pleasant surprise they can get what ever tire I’ve asked for at a good price and (so far) the same day. Because I’m not stuck on one brand and research CR, Car & Driver, Tire Rack and other sites, I usually desire only one or two tires over all other choices. Even though in both of my cases PT didn’t have my preferred tire ‘in house’, they confirmed the positives/​negatives about my selection and were able to get it at a price comparable to others.
My only complaint with Performance Tire is they close too early on Saturday (noon) and are closed Sundays; the two days when I’ve needed emergency service.
