History
Established in 2012.
Chocolatier Phillip Ashley Rix began the journey of learning the art of chocolate in 2007. He spent two years self-training and spending countless hours absorbing information but most importantly, learning to love and appreciate what would become his life’s work, chocolate. Chef Rix then spent the next three years creating and evolving the formulas for what would become known as not mere truffles, but designer chocolates. Launching the brand in its entirety in 2012, Phillip Ashley Chocolates today is known for totally going beyond the boundaries of conventional chocolate making and is becoming recognized all over for what we now call «Chocistry».

Chef Phillip Ashley Rix is a native Memphian. He spent a number of years traveling and working in the creative marketing and corporate sales industry before trading in his suit jacket for a chef coat. A self-trained chef and chocolatier, Rix has an uncanny ability to develop flavors never before imagined; a true gift and calling for chocolate. Chef Rix’s love for people, giving back and family are the driving forces that allow him to create and continue to surpass the expectations of those whom experience his work. His work, his passion is his gift to you.
