Super helpful customer service! Everyone is so cheery here. They have a couple really helpful features that are great for the average shopper. You can choose items online and pick them up an hour later in-store. Also, they have a long handle and wheels on their little baskets, so you can pull it around the store instead of carry it in your arms.

I’ve found Pier 1 to be an excellent alternative to Pottery Barn– similar, but a little more colorful and a little more affordable. And oh yeah, your house won’t look like everyone else’s on the block. Score 1 for Pier 1. Speaking of houses, just glancing around mine I see a Pier 1 lamp, countless candles, several rugs, picture frames, a nice accent chair and dinnerware. The items are quality, and many have lasted for quite a while. A great place to find gifts, Pier 1 also has great glassware and cute little serving pieces. I love the candleholders, and patio items. There are bright Japanese lanterns, patterned chair cushions and great wicker pieces. Do yourself a favor and be sure to shop the sales. You can find some awesome markdowns here too.

I love Pier 1’s candles. And the dishes. Oh, and the ornaments. Heck, I love it all. It’s a colorful, fun place where things look chic and kind of Bohemian. There are mirrors and bathroom accessories, and chair cushions, and glassware/dishware. And more. I am sometimes that weirdo who will sit in the adorable wicker patio furniture and take it all it because I want it all and it’s sensory overload and I’m on a budget. They have perfect items to make such a pretty patio. And they offer gift cards, and men — if your girlfriend or boyfriend needs something special and you have no idea what to get them — this is usually a sure thing.

No matter what city I find myself, whenever I feel a little bit homesick I have to find a Pier 1. The reason for this is simply that whenever I step inside those doors I feel an overwhelming sense of «home.» P. S. Can I bottle that overwhelming scent that hits you when you walk in the doors and place it inside my own home? It is seriously amazing. I digress– when I walk into a Pier 1 I immediately want to pop a squat in a big, comfy papasan chair, pull over a side table and grab a wine glass and a floral arrangement and sit back and relax. This establishment seriously is a gal’s best friend. This particular Pier 1 does not disappoint. It is located in the Chickasaw Oaks shopping center and the staff is super-fab. They will wait on you hand and foot, and even notice when you have an armful of items and offer to stash them at the counter for you– prolly so you can refill those arms with more purchases. I particularly love Mr. Brandon– super cute hairdo by the way! — who has some awesometastic convo skills and great taste in the way of helping you decorate. I love every item that is in this store. In all seriousness– if I don’t decorate my pad with thrift and vintage store finds, I get them here. They have amazing floral arrangements, awesome dishes and the glassware is the shizz-nit. I have 2 cupboards full of vintage/retro and Pier 1 glassware, and it never fails– I always find another glass I HAVE to have. Go figure that those pieces are the ones everyone always compliments! On this particular visit, I picked up a 60s era floral tumbler(clear, bubbled glass with vibrant green, yellow, blue, red and orange flowers strategically placed throughout) and a yellow, retro looking flower napkin ring. Yes, just one, as I don’t plan on using it for napkin-ing– rather for a decorating project. Both items happened to be on clearance, so I got my purchases for a lovely 9 bucks. I heart you Pier 1 and want to have 8 gazillion of your little Pier One-y babies!
