History

Established in 1967.

lSandblasting & Special Coating Inc. was established in 1967 by Mr. W.F. «Buddy» Barnes. Generations of Barnes family have worked here starting with his son W.R. «Rusty» Barnes. Rusty had a son, W.R. «Beau» Barnes who followed in the family footsteps and came to work at and eventually own the business. Wives and the Barnes sisters have always been a part of Sandblasting & Special Coating Inc. as well. Through the years the business has done jobs as big as offsite jobs such as sandblasting bridges, factories and graffiti removal from apartment complexes to regular onsite jobs, for instance the pipes we all get our water from. We sandblast and coat water pipe and pumps for several cities and counties near and far. We also do much smaller jobs here onsite for example lawn furniture, car frames, wrought iron, cast iron, bbq grills, motorcycle frames, car trailers, horse trailers, security doors, bed frames, industrial truck beds, pretty much anything metal, we can sandblast and coat it!

Meet the Manager

Leslie B.

Manager

Hi! I’m Leslie, office manager and co-owner of Sandblasting & Special Coating Inc. I have 22 years of customer service and sales experience. I learned everything I know about this business from my husband Beau, who worked here for 29 years, and his Dad, my father-in –law, Rusty who worked here for 40 years and owned the shop from 1996 until 2010 when he passed it on to Beau. They both learned everything they knew from our founder, W. F «Buddy» Barnes, our family’s patriarch. They were excellent and patient teachers and I learned a lot from them both. I hope to continue the family legacy of professional service.
