I would give it zero stars if that was possible. I commented on a piece being overpriced after having to ask for a price because it was not marked. The man, who I assume was the owner, then proceeded to follow me around the store. He continually insulted me and boasted about his business. He scoffed at my age, implied that I had no understanding of antiques, and told me that I clearly can’t afford to buy nice furniture. He was so incredibly rude. I finally just left and he stood in the parking lot directly behind my car, making it difficult to leave. Do not bother going. Antiques are poorly displayed, not marked with prices, and the owner doesn’t care about customers.

You might be able to find a treasure or two in here– you’ll just have to look a little harder than usual. Second Hand Rose has a lot of merchandise but there doesn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason to it. Items are placed randomly throughout the place so it really feels like a treasure hunt when you’re wandering around. There is a lot of furniture, so if you’re in the market for a coffee table or endpiece, you might be in luck.

This place is okay. It’s definitely the place that you’d like to go if you’re looking for some basic items, like desk chairs and cabinetry that’s not necessarily that trendy. Just the basics. Perfect if you’re on a tight budget and you don’t need anything too fancy. The layout of the store was a bit random, in the sense that I spotted piles of items here and there. I did see an array of nice acrylic paintings that looked fairly recent.

I gave this place a three mostly because of their primary stock. When I go to an antique store I want to see more than just paintings and furniture and that was the majority of what I saw here. If that’s what you are looking for, then go here. I also gave it a three becuase I was never greeted. I wandered the whole store and I couldn’t figure out who the employees and who the customers from who were from the 5 people who were there. I wouldn’t make a special trip to come here, but if you are already antiquing on Central I wouldn’t necessarily skip it, especially if you are looking for furniture or paintings. Parking is on the right side of the store.
