Jim Knaus has always loved smoking a pipe, and loved the Tinder Box. So when he retired from the Navy, it was his dream to open his own Tinder Box. So along with his wife, Teresa, the first Tinder Box was opened in the Mall of Memphis, where it remained an icon for over 20 years. 15 years ago, they opened the second Tinder Box, bringing their daughter, Lynne Norton, into the business at the Wolfchase Galleria with a wide range of tobacco products as well as a large selection of gift items. 4 years ago, the Collierville Tinder Box was opened. It’s large humidor allows for a wide variety of cigars and it’s smoking lounge is a comfortable friendly place to spend an afternoon.
