Turkoyz

This is my new go-​to stop for gifts! They offer a huge selection of unique jewelry, hand bags, scarfs, pottery, and so much more. The prices are very reasonable compared to some other gift shops in the east Memphis area. The gift wrapping is free and just plain adorable!

I think this place is absolutely adorable. There are fairly few boutiques you can find gifts at. I heard about this place from a friend and she raved about how much fashion jewelry they sell. I was eager to check them out since I was in need of a blue necklace for graduation…
The only reason I am not giving Turkoyz 5 stars is because the sales associate was griping about being there and it had only been open 15 minutes. She was grouchy towards the customers who were in there at the same time I was. It just makes shopping more enjoyable when your greeted nicely and promptly helped!
They also have a home furnishing Turkoyz a couple doors down which has the most adorable, chic decorations. They sell a lot of unique picture frames and crosses which are always good gifts!

I adore this place. When shopping for a birthday or even Christmas gifts for people in my life, I try to find items at little boutiques or smaller stores because the items will be more unique than getting them somewhere like Target or a larger department store (not that I don’t do that occasionally too).
They have home items, scarves, ALL kinds of jewelry, purses, and so much more! They have the neatest stuff around Christmas and holidays. I guarantee you’ll find something — whether it’s for yourself or a friend.
One of my favorite things about this place is the build your own necklace or bracelet table they have. You pick out your chain (silver or gold) and then add the charms. They have initials, different colored charms, sorority charms, etc. These make perfect gifts for any woman or girl in your life! I wished I had discovered this place before I got married — perfect bridesmaid gifts. :)
Turkoyz is conveniently located in the Laurelwood Shopping Center off Poplar and they have the friendliest staff. They also just opened a Turkoyz at Home store in the shopping center as well. It has all home items.

One thing I truly missed after leaving Starkville, MS was all the wonderful boutiques. Sure, you can get cheaper things at department stores, but there is something about visiting a boutique, being waited on with a smile and getting something only a few people have. No worries, Memphians. I have found a jewelry boutique I love!
A friend of mine took me to a small boutique in Laurelwood shopping center called Turkoyz. While I had my hesitations, mainly because I thought it might be overpriced and even more because turquoise is not spelled with a «y» or «z» (I’m a big proponent of correct spelling), I went with her anyways. She went on and on about how much jewelry they had and what great prices there were. And, yes, she was right!
The store is filled with all types of jewelry, scarves, purses, wallets, home décor and more. I bought over half of my Christmas gifts in there, and I keep buying! They have great pieces, and it’s one of my favorite places to shop. Consider buying your next piece of jewelry or gift for a friend there. You will love what they have!
