History

Established in 1997.

Wolfchase Galleria is a large indoor shopping mall located at the intersection of 1 – 40 and Germantown Pkwy in Memphis, TN. Plans for the mall started back in 1995 by Urban Shopping Centers and was opened to the public on February 26,1997. In 2002 Simon Property Group acquired Wolfchase Galleria.

This property features Dillard’s, JC Penney, Macy’s and Sears plus 120 of the most exciting stores in the Mid-​South.

Had lunch today at Wolfchase Galleria with two co-​workers/​friends. I chose Chipotle; however, one woman in my group chose Mandarin Express. She ordered a chicken dish with broccoli. To her HORROR, she found a tiny worm in her food!!! It almost looked like a maggot to be honest! Of course, she took her dish back to them and showed them the worm and asked for her money back. The woman at the cash register was VERY rude and unapologetic while reluctantly giving her money back. So, NOT ONLY was there a worm in the food… they had the audacity to be rude on top of it! Avoid this place.

Nice smallish mall with the typical chain stores. The trackless kids train that drives around was a neat addition.

Covington, TN
This is the only mall in Memphis I will ever go to. It has stores I enjoy shopping at regularly (like Forever 21, FYE, and Victoria’s Secret) and also has unique boutiques. The food court isn’t anything fancy, but there’s Chipotle and chik-​fil-​a inside the store with Red Lobster and Olive Garden close by if you’d prefer something «fancier.» There’s also a barnes and noble for all of the book lovers out there.

For this being the best mall in Memphis, it really isn’t all that impressive. I actually try not to go at all, or if I do I try to go when it’s not busy. I must agree with most of the other reviews that the biggest flaw is the security, because let’s face it, crime is what has been the downfall of so many things in the Memphis area. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen here as well.

One of the nicer malls in Memphis. Tons of places to shop or in my case walk around like a zombie. What I like most about this mall is the tons of spots to sit down and be a zombie. I’m never in and out very fast in this mall. Usually around 2 – 3 hours of exercising…

All the chain stores you can fathom under one big mall extravaganza in the suburbs of Memphis, more aptly Cordova.
The anchors are Dillard’s and Macy’s. Wish they had a Nordstrom, and I bet the locals do too.
A big Merry-​Go-​Round sits by the food court and this was always a huge hit when we had very small kids. With teenagers now, not so much.
Why be a hater to Wolfchase? It’s nice inside, pretty clean, good selection of stores and will help kill an hour of your time when you’re in Cordova!

Hmmm… Where do I start?
This mall is large but it’s large with nothing more to offer. We came the day after Thanksgiving (the true Black Friday) and it was a decent crowd but not crazy packed. This mall is on the lower class of malls, in my opinion. Although it has a great variety of stores, I just didn’t enjoy being shopping at Wolfchase. The floors were dirty, the people were rude, and there were several stores that were unheard of. Also, mall security needs to get a handle on solicitation. My bf and I were approach by random people trying to push off their demo cd’s on us.
I think I expected more since it’s a «galleria» and I compared it to Houston Galleria but then again it is Memphis. I really would like to see this mall do better and I hope they can make a few changes.

Pretty much the best and biggest mall in Memphis, but not without its shortcomings.
The security is still an issue and I would advise you to exercise common sense and be vigilant while in the parking lot. Once inside, the layout of the mall is rather confusing and somewhat cramped, but is the best Memphis has.
The food court is pretty good and has a decent amount of seating. The stores are for the most part top of the line or at least brand names people usually know and like. The mall regularly hosts events and things of the like, which is cool. Finally, the mall is indoors, which is a blessing in this age and region where strip malls seem to be the rule.

Get ready to spend your day shopping or having a fun day with the family! Best mall since I lived in the Northeast! Great food court, selection of stores, and play things for kids of all ages. They also have monthly events for your young ones and a great app for the latest deals and goings on.

This mall is on the decline as quite a few of them are in the Memphis area due to the criminal element. The security does what they can within the limits of their job, I just think there needs to be a larger show of the MPD in order to deter the criminal element from hanging out. I truly hope they will as I like this mall and the layout as well as the fact that they keep it clean. I think the mall management should be more particular about the stores they are allowing to move in in order to keep that criminal element down.

Great Mall, well taken care of. Great selection of stores and services. Stores for every middle class income. Nice food court variety. Safe and secure parking lot… although around Xmas shopping season more security is added when the wrong element comes in.

Nice mall, they have all the stores I enjoy shopping at. Crazy 8’s, Hot topic, Starbucks lol, Aldo shoes, macys etc etc. They also have chain restaurants to eat from like Red Lobster and TGIF. Parking sucks but where is a mall that has good parking? The crowd can be a little hood, but it’s the best memphis has to offer.

This is a sizable mall, but they somehow architecturally made it feel cramped. It has most of your big-​named stores, but it doesn’t have the happiness feeling in most malls. Most notable in the «missing attached stores» is Barnes and Noble which is in a separate building off the main parking lot. The indoor carousel is a nice addition which I haven’t seen many of before. I’ve always gotten reasonable parking here, but I’m relatively certain that it isn’t a fluke.

I love Wolfchase because it is indoors, huge, and has so many stores that I love. It’s also just fun to walk around here. The food court is huge and there are always people walking around. It’s a very busy place. I would visit more if I lived closer.

This is really the only mall in Memphis… Which is disappointing. I do like The Avenue at Carriage Crossing but it’s so far away and it pretty much has to be beautiful outside before I’ll go walk around there. The Wolfchase Mall seemed so great when it first opened but it has really gone down hill. They need better security big time… Maybe off duty police rather than mall cops that have flashlights. It just doesn’t feel safe most of the time. The best time to go would have to be early in the morning and that’s about it. I try to avoid it.

I was in town and we visited the mall strictly to find me an ensemble for an event I wasn’t prepared for. I didn’t get to see all the stores, because I had 45 minutes to find something. I started from Macy’s and ended up at Dillard’s on the other end of the mall. I got a really cute dress from Dillard’s. They were having a sale. The mall is located right off the interstate. It’s your typical mall. The food court had some of the better restaurant chains like Olive Garden, Red Lobster etc. They also had a Godiva Chocolatier Store. YAAAAYY! I’d love to give you more of a run down, but unfortunately my visit was less than brief.

So… I don’t like malls, and Wolfchase epitomizes what I don’t like about them. It’s a huge mall, with a huge parking lot, it’s loud, crowded, and people are usually rude. I can never remember where anything is, so I inevitably park at the opposite end of anything I want, and getting in and out of that huge circular lot is a pain, especially when people aren’t paying attention to where they’re driving!
There’s nothing particularly wrong with the stores, nor anything particularly great. For me, the effort of getting to them negates anything I might possibly buy. If I want to go to Macy’s (and believe me, I don’t), I’ll brave Oak Court. If there’s a number of stores you want to shop at that aren’t anywhere else, it might be worth the hassle, but for me, it’s not.

The carousel is lovely, my son gets a multipass each visit to the mall, his reward for being well behaved.
As for me, there is just something I dislike about the layout of this mall that I can’t quite put my finger on. I rarely visit on weekends but when I do the crowd is a bit much, so I tend to try to visit only on weekdays.

I like this mall. It’s definitely my favorite mall in the city. There are plenty of ladies clothing stores in my price range with a lot of random stuff to choose from so I get options, and I like that.
That said, this mall looks like a trashy used car lot next to the ones I experienced in California. I feel like comparing the two might not even be fair since I’m not sure what drives businesses in that state to look so much more architecturally interesting and cool but that knocked my review of wolfchase from 4 to 3 stars.
This mall is A-​OK, just as Unilocal puts it. It gets the job done, as it has since they built it when I was a kid, and I’m generally not afraid for my life like I would be at Oak Court.
