Established in 1980.

Baso Battery is a family owned business that has been selling vehicle batteries in the Park Rapids, Detroit Lakes, and Brainerd Lakes area for over 30 years. Based in Menahga, MN, Baso Battery also supplies wholesale batteries in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota and surrounding states. In recent years, Baso Battery has added distribution of commercial batteries for solar, energy, and telecom industries to its lineup.

Business Owner

John Baso is co-​owner of Baso Battery with his brother George Baso. John and George enjoy meeting with customers and helping them to plan and supply their battery needs, from replacing a battery in the cold of winter to ensuring the best fishing trip on a sunny day to setting up telecom towers and central offices with backup power to keep the phone and internet running reliably. John and George are happy to take on-​call appointments during waking hours.
