I just moved to this area from Utah and wasn’t happy to start the process again in trying to find a mechanic that is honest, fair, and knows their stuff. Luckily someone referred me to Mike and it’s been great. He was beyond fair with the repairs he did and I even tried to give him more money and he politely refused and said, «Don’t worry about it, I just hope to win your business.» If you’re looking for a mechanic, look no further.

Mike and his crew have always been honest, fair, and detailed in their work. After taking it to the dealer and having them miss it repeatedly Mike was able to figure out the problem, fixed it quickly, and did fantastic work.
We’ve taken the car back for the 100,000 mile check up, tire and oil changes, and major repairs. Every time he gives us a detailed run down of the services provided, the reasons for them, and any recommendations. They’re never pushy or rude — always polite, personal and reliable.
Although it lacks the glitz of a dealer show room (which is fine with me), his prices are reasonable and fair, and we have never had to see him for the same problem twice unlike previous dealers or mechanics.
We initially heard about him through a co-​worker of my husbands, and now recommend him whenever others ask who we use. When you can’t do your own work, having someone you can trust to do the job right is worth its weight in gold. You can tell both Mike and his crew are experts at their craft and do the job right the first time.

My fiancé brought his car here for a second opinion and they were amazing. The other place that I won’t name wanted to charge him $ 3,000 for repairs in which upon bringing it here only charged $ 660. What a difference! They were very truthful and knowledgable and even showed my finance what the problems where. Finally found an amazing mechanic!

By far the best mechanics you could ask for. I was new to the area and was searching for a good mechanic I could rely on to help fix my car correctly when needed and not try and screw me over like most do. I had gone to another mechanic that clearly was only trying to get more money out of me. But then I was told of Innovative Performance Auto — best thing that’s happened since I moved to Albany. All the mechanics are outstanding! Their fast at getting the job done and make sure it’s done correctly. Everyone that works in the shop are just personable honest people, which means a lot to me. The owner is a great guy, very personable and knows his stuff. I never thought I’d say this, but I enjoy when I need to go back to them for something else because I know they’ll try and get me out fast and spending as little as possible. More mechanics need to be like them!
