We contacted Melanie when our daughter decided to move her wedding day from months in the future to 10 days away. With this impossible timeline, we knew the odds were against us. Well this business proved us wrong! The level of service was amazing. Melanie took my daughter’s ideas and said she would take care of it. On the day of the wedding, she delivered the main cake as well as an additional cake for freezing. We could not believe the amazing design and quality of the cakes. As the father of the bride, I will be forever grateful to her for helping to make this day so special. 10 stars aren’t enough!

My wedding cake was beautiful and delicious!!! She gave me everything I asked for and more!!! People were hoarding left overs. Amazing!!!

I was so nervous about using a baker instead of going to Stater Bros. or Target to get the cake for my son’s 9^th birthday. I had never used a private baker before and really didn’t know what to expect. Since Melanie doesn’t have a storefront, I was a little nervous about paying what I did for my son’s cake. Boy, was I super pleasantly surprised! Melanie was sweet and professional and very gracious. She gave us a great price and delivered exactly what she promised. But, not only was the cake beautiful, it tasted fantastic! I am so grateful to her for making my son’s birthday so memorable! I am excited and looking forward to having Melanie make all of our family’s cakes from now on. No more store bought cakes. You are a wonderful artist and we are glad we found you! P. Absolutely delicious cakes and Melanie is a whiz at decorating and making cakes look as beautiful as possible. She can do pretty much any design you can think of and then she makes it even better! I bought a Oreo cookie cake for my sister’s birthday party and there were NO leftovers! Super moist cake and delicious filling. I want to throw another birthday party just so I can order another cake from her! Would HIGHLY recommend this bakery of anyone wanting an amazing cake.

We ordered cake pops and cupcakes for my daughters 6^th Birthday. They were deliciously perfect. A mix of white velvet vanilla and chocolate embellished with tiny seashell candies that matched our under the sea theme. Melanie was so helpful and cheerful we really enjoyed working with her. Even with short notice she did an amazing job. We look forward to using this local small business often. Thank you Blooming Bakery for the perfect finishing touch to our super fun day.

I needed a cake for my sons first birthday party and only had about two weeks to find someone and I’m glad I found Melanie! The cake was amazing — way beyond what I had asked for! She even made a cute smash cake for my baby! I only sent Melanie one picture and she did the rest! She really knows what she is doing and she is super easy to work with. She’s great on communication and was exactly on time. Her cakes are affordable. Some others I looked at were easily double the cost! The taste was amazing as well! I can see why she does a lot of weddings, because her cakes look great and taste great. My guests were really impressed with her cake too. I definitely would recommend Melanie for any event!

Perfect look AND delicious! Normally, when we serve cake, much of it just gets nibbled and then discarded. THIS time, people were practically licking the crumbs off their plates.
It was the perfect compliment to the celebration for my son’s first birthday. We had a hero/​comic theme and the cake was SUPER.

This was my first experience with Melanie and she is AMAZING! I lucked out by finding her. She went above and beyond for my Mom’s 60^th birthday cake. Her attention to detail and expertise are amazing. Guests didn’t even know it was a cake and thought it was an actual gift (looked like a purse with a bouquet of flowers coming out of it). Over and over the guests said that the cake was not only beautiful, but tasted amazing! People were asking for her number. Her work and kindess show that this is not just a business, but something she puts her heart into. She stands above the rest!

Melanie helped make my best friends baby shower a complete success by impressing us with such a beautiful and delicious cake. I live in NY and was only able to communicate with Melanie via email and phone calls, I gave her little description of what we wanted and just crossed our fingers but that was all Melanie needed. I use the blooming bakery for everything! Cakes are gorgeous and they taste amazing. We order the white cake with rasberry filling for almost every family bday/​event as that is our whole families favorite. Bday parties, office parties, i use them for EVERYTHING! Branded cupcakes for my business, and any theme you could think of. The owner goes above and beyond and is the sweetest nicest lady ever. Highly recommended!

I found Melanie off google and saw reviews and thought I would take my chances and glad I did. She got back to me right away when I had emailed her and filled me in last minute when I had my other baker cancel on me… The cake for my daughters Christening came out beautiful more then my expectations she added her own creative ideas to it. It was also very nicely detailed and tasted delicious. Everyone at the party was so curious as to who made such a beautiful cake (: and she also added 5 extra servings at no charge I’m so happy I found her and will definitely have her do my daughters birthday cake!

I ordered a smash cake from The Blooming Bakery for my sons first birthday pictures. Melanie was extremely helpful and the cake turned out perfect. Not only did it look adorable, it also tasted great. I will definitely order from her again.

I’ve been searching for a cake baker that I can rely on. Having a good baker is as important as going to a favorite hair stylist, you want to know that they can put you at ease and you can be stress free for the big day.
It turns out that Melanie lives nearby and we had an email consult about the cake I wanted for my daughter. I sent her three cake photos I liked and she returned with more cake options that she can do. I was very impressed! Most cake places would just say «well, that’s what she wants, so we’ll just go with that and not offer more». Not Melanie, she went out of her way to even offer to make the animals on the cake more realistic!
Another thing that impressed me right off the bat are her cake flavors! Seriously, you start drooling just looking at the cake flavors. I’m not a big cake person unless the cake is really well done (like wedding cakes) and Melanie specializes in that, so I knew her cakes would be amazing. She makes two types of buttercream, regular and italian buttercream. The italian buttercream blew me away, she bought a sample over for me and I absolutely fell in love with it! It took me back to my wedding day since I had a buttercream cake as well.
On the day of my daughter’s birthday, she offered to bring it to the park in a box with ice packs. Seeing how close we lived to one another, we could have just had her bring it over to our house so the fact that she offered to take it to the park was just wonderful.
The cake came out beautifully, I was amazed with how big it was and delicious at the same time! usually when the cake is so big, it loses its quality in taste, this was not the case at all.
Her cakes are amazing and in fact, my husband and I fought for the last piece of the cake. It was just that delicious and like I said, I’m not a cake person, so she really impressed me.
From the first time I spoke to her, to meeting her (she has a sweet, calm presence about her), to having the cake delivered, my experience was excellent all the way. She did an a fantastic job, I will be requesting a birthday cake for myself from my husband to work with her on it.

Melanie’s service and punctuality are impeccable. She really took a personal touch to the cake, and spent time to really listen to what my wife and myself wanted in our wedding cake. She listened and delivered in every way.
On the day of, she arrived on time and ready to work. She always followed up with us when she said she would.
In addition, the cake tasted amazing. It was absolutely perfect, and exactly how we imagined it to be.
One hidden bonus with Melanie, is the anniversary cake. Instead of having to save the top tier of the cake and freeze it for a year, she makes you a new cake on your 1 year anniversary. Huge bonus and the same detail that went into the wedding cake is delivered on the anniversary cake.

If I can give the blooming bakery 10 stars I would! Melanie is fantastic. I called her a few days before my niece’s birthday hoping she would take me on (expect rejection because I was so late) & she took me on. Her work is fantastic & delicious. My niece love her cake so much no one was allow to touch it, eventually we got to eat it. She even brought her a gift and a free smash cake ! I would definite go to Melanie for all of my events. I just ordered a cake from Melanie and it arrived yesterday evening as part of surprise celebrations for my mother and father in-law’s 50^th wedding anniversary.
Not only was the cake beautiful, but its 3 tiers were the most, moist, delectable cakes I have ever eaten. The base was an incredible white cake with strawberry filling– gobbled up in quick time. The second was a moist yellow cake with banana cream, which disappeared at equal speed. The crowning cake was a rich red velvet with cream cheese filling and amazing chocolate notes.
Many thanks to Melanie! I’ll be back to order more cakes from Melanie in the future. Highly recommended!

It’s was such a pleasure working with Melanie. My daughter birthday cake came out so beautiful I couldn’t have been happier. Melanie is so creative and produced such a beautiful cake and cupcakes to go along with it. My daughter, Kara was also given a smash cake as a birthday gift from Melanie and Kara absolutely LOVED it!
