Rooter Hero Plumbing

Tony and Juan fixed our toilet leak and fixed it in short order. This is the second time we called upon Rooter Hero and the second time that Tony solved our problem. Besides being talented in the plumbing business both men were very cordial, knowledgeable, and expert in their work. How often do you find men like this? Not that often. As a retired general contractor these men and their service rate very high in my evaluation. Thank goodness there are still such men available to help out.

Tech was showed up 4 hours after 2 hour window. He could not snake out the drain. He needed to come back the next day with his supervisor. They showed up the next day and still couldn’t get the drain unclogged. They then said they needed to go under the house, then say I need to re pipe the whole house! They provided an unprofessional hand written quote with serval options and still charge me $ 77 for trying to clear my drain. I SEE other people had the same exact experience with this company.
I called Roto-​Rooter and they snaked and cleared the drain quickly! I would never let Rooter Hero work on my house ever again. These guys are either incompetent or dishonest, either way… don’t call them!

Called Rooter Hero (650 458‑0151) to resolve a blocked backyard storm water drain. Juan and Eddie were prompt and professional. They obvious diagnosis turned out not to be the problem, but they persisted and soon resolved the issue.
First time user… would recommend them!

called these guys out to snake my clean out because my toilet was backed up. a technician and field manager came to my house to do the work. Long story short, they weren’t able to unclog my toilet and said that the pipe collapsed and they wouldn’t be able to do anything without digging everything out and they would send me a quote right away. I didn’t get the quote until 3 days later… after we called them to see what the hold up was.
Two days later we called out another plumber who was able to unclog my toilet just by snaking it out without any problems. Not sure why two people weren’t able to do the job that one was able to, but I don’t think I will be recommending this company to anyone else.

We have used Rooter Hero in the past with minor cleaning to clear back ups always knowing that with a 62 year old home one day replacement of the system would be needed. Well as it turned out it happened the night before my husband was to have surgery. First it was Matthew to the rescue who did a great job while we were away from our home and made sure everything was up and working the next day when we returned. We also met Erick when he came out to meet with the City of Sunnyvale and do additional work. Matthew and Erick finished things up on the following day. We are truly grateful for the level of care and how professional they were. Thank you Matthew & Erick.

Great job and very nice and well organized guys.
We had a main sewer line completely blocked over the weekend. We had RHP San Francisco come over on Sunday.
They did a good job finding the real issue and started on the repair on Sunday night.
Our old clay pipe collapsed and roots grew through it, completely blocking it.
We decided to replace the whole section of the clay pipe and we had our services restored next day. Guys also followed up promptly on inspections with city and Water Company.
All and all, we are happy to have this issue resolved.
Someone else wrote here «of course they find 6000 $ worth of problem», but sometimes it is just what it is. We had few other companies coming over past few years, as we had repeating problems paid ~120 $ every time and none found the source of the problem.

We had Rooter Hero of San Jose come out to do a camera inspection of our drains and to write up a report of their findings. They promised a written report within one day. First, they rushed the inspection and did not give us time to clear simple clogs in order to run the camera through certain sections of our yard. But even worse, it is over a month since the inspection and they have not provided us with the promised report, despite several calls and emails. What good is an inspection without a written report of where the clogs are? DO NO USE THIS SERVICE!

So sad. Had an issue with some back up in my kitchen and called they were came out and I liked the flat rate. But of course they found $ 6000 worth of work that needed to be done. I went and got a second opinion and $ 145 fixed everything and I was good to go. DON’T TRUST THEM!!!

My house had a huge water leak and we didn’t know where it was coming from, so I needed to find a good reliable plumber. I went on Unilocal and left a couple plumbers voicemail, but they were the only one that answered my call very quickly. They sent Tony and his supervisor juan to my rescue. Not only did they fix my leak, but they gave us lots of advice on how to take care of our water pipes so this doesn’t happen again.
I was absolutely blown away by how prompt, efficient, and great these guys were. I’m so glad I picked rooter hero pluming. I probably won’t need to call for their services because of how good they fixed our water pipes. But if I ever do I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again! Thank you Tony and Juan!

Field manager Juan and field rep Tony came to our home in the late evening to help with a broken water heater. They went above and beyond to provide high quality service. We really appreciated their kindness and professionalism.

I had Mario come out from Rooter Hero Plumbing of San Jose and job well done! My window was on a Saturday from 10:00 — 12:00 he showed up around 11:30 and I did not pay extra because of a Saturday service call. He Snaked my clog sink, recommended what not to put in the sink 45 minutes he was done and cleaned up afterwards. All for $ 77 w/​Coupon. Happy Customer!

First, I would like to mention that I’m speaking on behalf of my mother. We had a pipe burst underneath our house which cause six inches of water to settle. Who knows how long it was there. The point is it’s started smelling like a sewer in the house. We called a restoration company to have it cleaned out. Now the house smells like roses.
We were referred to this company to have our pipe fixed. The person who gave us a quote to fix the pipe gave us two options. He stated in his work order that the tech needed to «break through the concrete to reach the broken pipe.» If you refer to the picture you can see all the details of the «work» that needed to be done.
Once the work order was completed he quoted us first at $ 8300 dollars and the second quote at $ 15,465!!!
Obviously this was complete utter bullshit. So I went down under the house myself and found exactly where the leak was coming from. There IS NO CONCREATE UNDER THE HOUSE! It’s fucking SOIL. I don’t know what bullshit this company is playing, but it’s obviously FRAUDULENT. I wouldnt be surprised if they charged someone else a ridiculous amount of money for a simple repair.
I will be reporting this company to the Contractor State License Board of California.
Look closely as the work order. The final estimate was 7300. It states in the work order that the deposit shall not EXCEED 10 percent. 10 percent of 7300 is $ 730. They wrote in the work order a 1000 dollar deposit!!!

Great experience! called on Saturday morning for a kitchen drain issue… critical as I was having guest for dinner!!! spoke with Jackie. the best! she juggled the technicians around and they made it to our home exactly on the agreed to time. Adrian was very polite and professional … used the electric snake. cleared the problem … all is good. The best $ 49 coupon on line. Would certainly use them again.

Rooter hero, has a great promotion for rooting any drain for $ 60 – 77. Marcus P., was fast, professional and solved my drain problem. They even took the time to clean the flooring afterwards! Excellent service for the price.

Called for a leaky sink drain. They were prompt and polite.
But, they could not snake the sink, moved the blockage around (blocking another sink) and told me that likely the pipes were broken because the house is old, and we’d have to jackhammer the slab floor. Their recommendation: a $ 2,717 service to flush pipes and video the system. They hooked the sink back up (it now has a slight leak). We called another service, who snaked the system in twenty minutes, everything is fine, water flowing great. $ 200 to solve the problem. They sent the estimate and an authorization, but I have never heard from them since. I ‘pinged’ the CEO on LinkedIn, and filled in comments on their website before this post, but they are impossible to contact. I don’t know if this is bad luck, incompetence, or a rip-​off. I can not, in good faith, recommend the service. I hate to ding a business, but I think people should be warned in this case.

Had an issue with the bathroom sink. We called Rooter Hero Plumbing at 9 am, they sent someone over by 10:30. Edgardo fixed the problem immediately, was in and out within 45 minutes. Clean, professional and quick! I’d definitely use Rooter Hero again.

Trouble with my main line, they gave me options which ranged in price from $ 2000-​$ 6000, but wouldn’t give me the quote in writing. Not sure why… kept telling me he would email it to me. Never did. Meanwhile I’m here unable to flush my toilet or take a shower. Anyway, ended going with another company and charge me $ 650. Not sure how or why there’s a huge discrepancy in prices. I’m giving 2 stars for the original plumber who came out, Sal. He seemed genuine and wanted to help. His «boss» if that’s what you want to call him, Juan acted like he really didn’t need my business and that’s why he didn’t even got back to me. Also beware, Rooter Hero is a sister company of Roto-​Rooter, who I was trying to avoid in the first place.

Gilbert is a rock star — highly responsive, conscientious, fair and dependable. And the team he works with is great. I’ve used Gilbert multiple times for both indoor and outdoor issues (all the way to the street) and it’s the same great service every time.
NOTE: Don’t get confused by the other Rooter Hero Unilocal entry; only look at Gilbert’s Rooter Hero. There was a previous team that was untrustworthy — I experienced that firsthand. It looks like those jokers left the company.

I used rooter hero for installing the city clean out. Their quote was better than two other companies. Gilbert Morales was our main technician and I highly recommend him. He was very clever in dealing with our plant box and tried his best to cause the least destruction in digging our backyard. Gilbert treated our project like his own and went beyond his duty. He even cut the plant box and relocated the water pipe for us. I thought installing a city clean out will cause a huge damage to our garden but Gilbert managed to make the final output clean. His customer service level is really a top notch. When you call the rooter hero, make sure to ask for Gilbert.

I have used rooter hero multiple times and have been extremely satisfied.
I had a leaky pipe under my kitchen sink couple weeks ago and Gilbert did a great job fixing it. He was courteous and very professional. He showed me exactly what the problem was and also gave me some tips on how to prevent it from happening again.
I am very happy with Gilbert’s plumbing expertise and will definitely call him next time I have a plumbing issue. Keep up the great work!
