Meet the Manager

Matthew D.

Manager

Matthew has been the rector of Trinity Church since August of 2009. He grew up in the United Church of Christ, where his father has served as an ordained minister for more than 50 years. While in college at Michigan State University, he discovered The Episcopal Church, and fell in love with the worship service, the opportunity to have weekly Communion, and the whole ethos of the church. Toward the end of college he sensed a called to the priesthood and attended Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was ordained a deacon in June of 1991 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Detroit, and was ordained a priest in January of 1992 at St. Peter’s Church in Ladue, Missouri.
