I’ve been here a few times with my wife for a couples message. We usually treat ourselves to one of these after a half marathon or when training gets a bit rough. My experiences have always been good with differences between the different masseuses, but no concerns regardless of who I’ve had. The place is always clean, smells nice, and makes you feel comfortable on the way in. The person in the front has always been courteous and quick with a great glass of water after my massage. I’ve heard some got a hard sell of stuff, but I’ve never experienced that(thank gawd). The only thing I’d really improve on is the pricing as they do charge a bit of a premium.

Hand & Stone gets a 1 star due to their unethical business practices and/or incompetent office staff. My wife and I had memberships and decided to cancel those monthly memberships and visited the spa, signed forms and we told that the monthly charges would be stopped and we could use up our unused packages. The next month we were again billed our monthly membership fees. Their response — OOPS — I guess we forgot to stop the deductions. At this point I still had 2 unused packages remaining and when I used one I was told that I needed to pay for the massage. I informed them that I had several left and I was told that they completely deleted our accounts and our remaining packages. They threatened to call the police on me unless I paid for my massage. After a number of phone calls they finally researched the matter and fixed our accounts. Massages were fine, but do not ever give these nitwits your credit card number or sign up on their membership plan because it will be impossible to cancel it.

Susan is one of the best massage therapists out there. Her medical training makes her a must for anyone suffering with back spasms, TMJ pain, etc. She has relieved serious muscle spasms twice for me… when nothing else worked.

I have had nothing but great experiences here. I signed up for the monthly membership, and while I don’t use it consistently, I like always like having that in my back pocket as something that I’ve already paid for when I feel like pampering myself. Everyone does try to upsell you, but that’s just business, and it is done in such a nice way that I don’t mind. It might also be because I’m the person that’s going to pay for some sort of upgrade half the time. Hand & Stone has grown as a company the way that it has because the employees are trained to sell. As a business professional responsible for overall sales at my business, I completely understand it and even admire how consistent they are and how well informed and trained the staff is. I like it better than Massage Envy as well. Massage Envy feels a little bit too institutional and hospital-like to me, where as the ambiance of Hand & Stone is closer to a full service spa. That being said, I will continue to frequent this establishment as my experiences continue to be fantastic.

My facial was amazing! LJ did a great job but the whole business aspect is a turnoff. I think more than a dollar a minute is A LOT of money so asking me to upgrade and pay more for what my skin needs seems crazy. I’ve been to several other spas that include hand/feet treatments, or specialized masks at no additional cost, just to set themselves apart from other places.

I found out about Hand & Stone when they sent people to my work for complimentary back massages. Kenn was consistently good and when they stopped coming to work I started going there. The monthly program is worth it. One hour a month of guaranteed relaxation and my body feeling amazing afterwards.

This spa to me is way better then massage envy. My first time at massage envy at the Brookfield area wasn’t that great. I found out about hand and stone by one of their Estheticians that came to my work and after that I’ve been going there since. I first experienced this spa with my friend and we had a hr Swedish massage. The front desk people are really welcoming. Warming bed, calming music, relaxing massage. We liked it so much we have memberships there now. Oh and they really work out all your knots! and I’ve recommend this spa to my other friends who now are big fans. And all the massage therapist do a really good job.

I used to have a membership at Hand & Stone and had both good and bad experiences each time I visited. The massages and facials themselves were great. What I didn’t like was that after most appointments, the masseuse would attempt to sell me products. I absolutely hate that sort of thing. It got so bad knowing that there would a sales pitch after my massage or facial that it took all of the relaxation qualities out of the experience. And the whole reason I went for these services was to relax. So I ended my membership. Pros: Friendly masseuses, clean, and good massages/facials. Con: Pressuring sales pitches following massages/facials, expensive.

Went there with a Groupon for a microderm and facial. Lorena was the aesthetician. Best facial I have had and lovely massage. The microderm was medical grade baking soda and was a bit more painful than I have had before. The membership deal is not a good deal… who has the time and money to have services like that every month? However I would return for a facial with Lorena.
