Written by a medical student looking for a quiet study space: It is a bit dark in here and pretty dated, on the first floor at least. The second floor is a nice and bright children’s area. However that top floor is not really enclosed so sometimes you can hear children squealing even when you are on the first floor. There’s a mid sized computer area, all with cubicles pointing in one direction, like a classroom kind of. There’s a digital media section as well as a teenager section. There are No specific quiet study areas. There are not that many places to sit and study, there is a shortage of power outlets. I came in one day at opening time and for quite awhile the two employees at the circulation desk were discussing their evening at full volume so I could hear them from the other side of the floor. Also, the bathrooms are in a pretty inconvenient location, which matters for me to stay there all day. The good: it’s still reasonably quiet usually. The clientele here is nice, I don’t have creeps staring at me. The parking is pretty good. Overall, it’s still one of my choice places to study when visiting my mom– but it is not premium for the purpose of quiet study.
