Sybaris Pool Suites

I stayed here in a pool suite last year for a mini-​honeymoon, and I was fairly satisfied. Being able to go to sleep to a roaring fire that will turn itself off when the timer is up was quite nice. The whirlpool tub was also excellent, with plenty of hot water, and the steam room was a fun way to warm up after coming in from the wintery weather outside. The lack of windows allows for some lovely privacy and feeling of intimacy.
That said, the temperature of the pool room and the pool itself were a little too cool for comfort for me, and I wasn’t able to adjust them to suit my tastes. Also, the décor was hilariously dated. All of it was in good working condition, but the colors of the bathroom fixtures just screamed 80s. The bed was adequate, I guess. Not great, but the linens were clean and soft, and they give you a ton of pillows, so overall I was satisfied.
I stayed in a whirlpool suite for my anniversary this year, and I think it’s a better value than the pool suite. It’s also got more updated décor, with cream colors instead of dusty rose. Still not really modern, but not so jarringly old.
Given the privacy and amenities, I will definitely continue to stay here for my romantic getaways.

Well, I was nervous after reading the reviews… But I feel like most of them dont understand the mission of Sybaris. The mission is a romantic, secluded club for couples. This was also created in the 1970s.
I used a Living Social voucher and we stated for one night. We stayed somewhere else for 2 other nights. The room was stunning. I really believe that everything is very thoughtful. The bed was comfortable and the chairs and tables were nice. I like that they set up your room for you, so we had ice and strawberries already in the room. The room was very clean, which I am sure is a feat with all the mirrors.
I loved the pool. It could have been warmer, but I loved it. The waterfall was annoying and it stayed on for 5 minutes. The hot tub was nice, but we are big people and it was for little people so the water came out of the tub. Steamroom was decent.
There are some things that weren’t my taste, like a mirror on the ceiling of bed, plants hanging over the pool. The bathroom could use an update. The lobby is kind of tacky with sex games and sex wedges.
It is a nice romantic getaway and we will be back. I don’t think it is a place you stay more than a night with late check out. We like to do stuff and this hotel is more of a place to stay and reconnect. I think it is just a preference call.
Place is pricey, but you get your own pool… So no kidding it is more…

Great experience. We have been long time members. The chalet was perfect for our 30^th.

My husband and I enjoy coming here because of the private pool and secludedness. While some the rooms need updating, they are always clean. The staff is nice and professional. We always go to the bar next site for a few drinks before turning in for the night.

Country suite is a waste of money. Room is outdated and in need of a remodel. Whirlpool is substandard and loud, can hear from the other room. Some amenities did not work and had to call reception desk twice. Rooms are not cleaned unless you ask so no fresh towels. No instructions for phone to call desk, use fireplace or the retro massage chair. Toiletries are made in India, Mexico and China. Mattress was horrible and in need of being tossed. Mandatory membership fee was $ 100 on Internet but only $ 30 if you call. Could not get a credit, only to come back again. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Stupid that you have to buy a membership. Nowhere else do you have to do that. Include it in the price of the rooms.

I have to say we were pretty impressed at first glance! I booked the paradise as a surprise for my boyfriend. It looks like the pictures online. It was clean and very romantic. The private pool was delightful! The waterfall is more like a tropical rain storm and loud. We weren’t thrilled with the whirlpool tub, not much power from the jets. The stream room was okay. There were lots of shower heads in there so we turned on the shower thinking all those heads would provide a fabulous shower… wrong…most of them allowed very little spray to actually come out. The fireplace was very nice and the massage chair was a nice feature. I loved the lighting above the bed and the bed was very comfortable. The roomy shower was apprecited. We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely consider going again. It is a bit pricey in my opinion, but a great romantic getaway. I do think it ridiculous that you actually have to buy a membership on top of the already high cost.

Just recently stayed over Christmas. It was a wonderful, relaxing, and enjoyable evening. The young staff at the front desk were very courteous and polite. This particular night I had one problem. If you stay in suite 45, there won’t be any parking for your automobile because of the parking setup. Ugh, pissed me off. If the person next to your suite parks appropriately, he will be parked in front of the walk path and will inconvenience you when toting your belongings to get to your room. So they park too close to your parking spot where you can’t park your car. Told the staff, who tried to rectify the situation, but couldn’t at the time. So they offered me another bottle of champagne for the inconvenience because I had to park my car in a different location. Over all the rooms were very clean, complimentary Asti bottle was in the fridge and the pool was nicely heated. Christmas day, forget about finding an open resturant, unless you go downtown first. We went all out fancy… at the Quik Trip down the street. LMBO. Ultimately, sparks were flying that night eventually leading to a tap out. HAHAHAHAH. One of these day’s I will get the CHALET. For the first timers, only 2 people per room; hotel policy, being tardy is fine, outdoors smoking only, bring your own cups or glasses; only small cups in room, and have a ball in the in-​room pool. Best experience ever!!!

I booked one of the rooms here with 2 other people for one night. We were looking for something bigger that we could relax in a big tub, and this looked like the place.
We got there, started checking in, and were told only 2 people were allowed in a room. Not anywhere does it say this when you are reserving a room, looking at room info, in the FAQ, etc. It is only after you go to the membership page (which you wouldn’t do looking for the club rules) that you find the club rules.
The other thing is that you have to pay the extra $ 30.00 for the annual membership, even if you’re only staying once. Doesn’t really seem like an exclusive membership to me. More of a way to charge more since anyone can stay there.
While we were able to get a refund, we are very disappointed that 3 people weren’t allowed in the room for the night.

Went on a groupon and found it to be a perfect getaway. Private pool, hot tub, steam room, fridge and micro wave too. I was concerned about the cleanliness but found it to be spotless. Perfect getaway especially In the middle of winter. Tip: call In the afternoon and have them turn your pool temp up so it’s ready to go. Tip 2, get the chocolate strawberries

Awesome, amazing, romantic getaway. I have been spoiled for all other hotels. Seriously, the private pool made me never want to leave.
