I’d give him no starts but that’s not an option. The worst attorney anyone could possibly hire. In few words a thief in a suit. He charged us a consultation fee, said he’d be able to assist us as a criminal defense attorney than negotiated his asking price. He visited his client maybe twice even though he was at a local facility. During the process of this case he failed to show to many court appointments, the DA on the case and Judge Marc Garcia occasionally made a joke about his tardiness and inadequacy. It was embarrassing to have to sit in court while they made jokes about the attorney we hired to represent us. When it came to sentencing he simply settled for the maximum time they issued and convinced us that it was the best thing to do. The sentence was ridiculous, anyone would have said we were crazy if we took that sentence. The family member we hired this attorney for knew better than to settle. He told the judge we wanted to dismiss Fuentes as his attorney and we hired someone out of Fresno that was much more personable and knew his law. I’d consider Fuentes as simply a petty case attorney at most, I might be giving him too much credit. He really is an incompetent attorney who’s collecting on poor individuals who don’t know anything about law. He advertises himself as «el Abogado Michoacan» specifically targeting Mexican populations in need of law advice. After fighting his case over a year I know better than to hire the first attorney you come across, in this case the first attorney I heard promoting himself on the radio, go figure. Do a little research and save your money.
