Right outside Smart and Final, there’s a great truck which serves superb tacos Al Pastor. To be Frank that’s all I’ll eat on a hot summer day, because anything raw., (Chicken…carne asada) can present pathogens… big time, so I tend to avoid those entries this time of year. Stick to carnitas and pastor or any other meat that’s been braised or slow cooked for hours. I digress. Their Al pastor is excellent. A great in between snack,(if we’re talking one), before dinner !

I absolutely love their tacos and burritos!
They were also voted best tacos in Merced for 2015.
I’m not sure the exact hours but I know for sure the Unilocal hours are wrong since whenever I go they are open but Unilocal says they are closed.

I really liked the tacos here and it’s a short walk away from my work place so it was perfect… but I recently went and they had the rudest customer service ever!!! I was on the phone telling my boyfriend how bad I felt because I was sick and right when I hung up the call to order, the lady taking my order skipped right over me and said she wasnt going to take my order because I was on my phone!!! I was so upset because I spent 15 minutes of my half hour lunch there. She literally yelled it to me and I had to go across the street and had only 5 minutes to eat my lunch. It completely ruined my day.

Over a years time I’ve experienced so much inconsistencie as far as quality goes. Today i ordered my usual (carnita tacos) and this experience took the cake. I should have captured a photo of the amount of grease/​oil I received with my order. After my first bite i was too disgusted to finish. Burritos do need more flavor. Maybe stick to the asada if you give them a try. Good luck.

Best taco truck around Merced! Ordered 3 carne Sadat tacos and 2 lengua tacos. Absolutely amazing! Tasty salsa!

Food is okay. Not amazing, ive had better. I got the chicken taco, and lengua burrito. My taco was average but my lengua burrito lacked flavor and i kept adding lime and salt to make it taste better.

Great Tacos!
.. . they better be because they take FOREVER to make them for you.
I have timed them and yes 10 minutes. and when you are hungry its a long time to wait, and once you have tried them the wait seems longer and longer each time you order.
My favorite part of the experience is the semi crunch to the slightly fried tortilla. They could be on the oily side but dang once you try one you will most likely try, try again and see you were right in coming.. this is the best roach coach in Merced.
