Saff here sucks. I asked if I could have a southwest chicken sub as a salad and she said no. I had to have one of the few options. Then some kids came in and they had the hardest time getting an order out of her. She is very confrontational. Won’t be coming back

I live less than a mile away, I love subs, and I come here about once a year… if that tells you anything. Pretend Subway repainted and then hired less friendly people and there you have it, this place. Rather go to the grocery store next door at their deli.

$ 9.00 for a half of a sandwich and a bottle of water??? I guess just because your in Mercer Island you can charge that much I guess I should of showed my visitor card to get a discount. The sandwich was dry and boring. Meh

Don’t even think of trying to use a Groupon here. The food is kinda ok. After all, how badly can you hose up a sub. The service is decidedly unfriendly. For me… my dollar is going elsewhere.

NO. NO. NO. Sandwiches are not difficult to assemble! It’s simply bread, meat, cheese, veggies, and some sauce. How hard could it be? I think I could easily make a better sandwich… I’ve only tried their Southwestern chicken sub. It’s basically chicken breast, your choice of veggies, pepper jack cheese, and salsa mayo(similar to thousand island?) piled on top of your choice of bread. Breads available: honey wheat, white, sour dough, multi grain, and focaccia. The chicken is not good. It’s DRY. Also, the salsa mayo is just a very sad thousand island dressing. If you’re in the mood for subs, I highly advise going to Quizno’s. You’ll leave with a happier stomach, trust me!

One tiny review is not enough praise for the folks running the Georgio’s on Mercer Island. The service is impeccable, the quality is tops and the satisfaction of having lunch at this location on a(nearly) daily basis makes working on Mercer Island almost okay. The sweet woman who makes the subs(most of the time) knows her regulars and remembers their tastes. All she has to say to me is ‘foccacia?’ and I confirm that’s the bread I want. She creates sandwiches as though they were art. She piles on the goods, evenly distributes the tomatoes/olives/peppers/what-have-you and even when she’s making a sub for another customer, your mouth waters at the sight. Now, I’ve tried the Georgio’s in the U-District and it pales in comparison to this location. I get the same sub at the U-District location and it’s weak and ‘skinny’ in comparison to what I’m used to from the good people on MI. Selfishly, I wish they’d move from MI and come closer to my apartment so I could continue to enjoy their sandwiches and not drive all the way to the south end of MI. The only ‘complaint’ I might have is that the location is small. There’s only two tables and a bar area but I rarely eat there and it hasn’t caused me any inconvenience. I remember back in the day when Subway ‘certified’ their employees as ‘Sandwich Artists’ — if anyone deserved that title, it would have to be these guys.
