Description

Specialties

Little Acorn Sprouts specializes in excellent early childhood education and nurturing care for toddlers ages 1 to 2−½. Our teacher: child ratio is an amazing 1:4. We are a highly creative program offering art and music daily as well as many wonderful learning centers in a beautiful, secure, play-based environment. The curriculum seeks to engage the learners in using all of their senses, as toddlers are first and foremost sensory-motor beings.

Excellent teachers build caring, nurturing relationships that communicate a shared sense of love, wonder, and joy in every effort and accomplishment your child makes. In addition, teachers are very purposeful at helping these young children build caring, lasting relationships with their peers as they play and learn together.

You’ll be amazed at how much your child advances and excels in this wonderfully rich toddler environment!

History

Established in 2006.

The Little Acorn Day School is privately owned and has been serving preschool children on Mercer Island since 1986. In 2003, the Community Center was rebuilt and the annex building, where we lease classroom space, was remodeled with earthquake upgrades, a new roof, windows, and flooring. The project was completed in 2006 and we moved back in with a our new Little Acorn Sprouts Toddler Program.
