Everything I’ve had is excellent. The veggie burger is one of the best I’ve ever had. I hope it is available on a regular basis. Its nice to enjoy a good sandwich, the view, and a cold beer. I will be going back for sure.

3 stars is generous. The food was over cooked, service was slow, and it wasn’t that busy. There were plenty staff around but no one helped our waitress out of the weeds.
Place looked great, location is cool, and it will hold a bunch of people. Prices were comparable to similar menu items in other area restaurants.
Looking forward to a better experience next I’m there. It would be good to see a place survive there for more than a few seasons.

All the high reviews are very well deserved. We got The Cassidy and The Black Cat and 1 side of fries. All were great… plenty of lunch for wife, myself, and two year old son.

Pretty good food, but the location and layout is super inconvenient. There are maybe five tables inside and two tables upstairs which is not enough for the business they receive. We waited a while for the table and it was hollow and loud.

Would have been a great place, if not for their incredible service.
First time here, they had line out the door (10 min just to get to order); not because many people, but because staff was too busy watching football.
Second time, they wouldn’t give me a cup of water cuz «they are not a full service restaurant.» What kind of BS is that? Bottled water is terrible for the environment and it doesn’t hurt you guys to have a couple of cups and a filtered tap running.
You have a nice place with good food, why fck it up like that?

Right on the water and in the heart of Meredith! Very casual– just walk up and get your sandwich and seat yourself outside to enjoy the view. Large sandwiches with a variety of ingredients

Been to Meredith many times and have eaten a lot there this summer. This place I’m just trying out last weekend here probably until next year. The food is delicious. It’s made fresh, and they outside seating. We got the mount Washington and the black cat. We were both happy with our meals!

It’s a shame that this place isn’t opened past 4pm. My girlfriend and I stopped by after a morning hike and were pretty happy that this place lived up to it’s reputation. Both are sandwiches were perfect. They do a great take on the Reuben by using pastrami. Sweet potato fries on the side are a must.

Great beer on tap, delicious inexpensive food and cute and sweet girls working the counter. And the lake views can’t be beat. I had the Bruschetta sandwich and it was outstanding!

My wife eats to live, so when we go to a place and she says best sandwich ever, you know it’s something to get excited about. She made us go back a second time during our week stay in the area. And what a great setting at a picnic table overlooking the lake with our dog by our side. She had the Bruschetta, twice, and I had the steak tip sub and then the classic burger. Fries were excellent as well. Prices were fair for the quality. Service was awesome. You must try this place.

Recently visited on vacation. Was so impressed my Wife and I made a second visit the next day. Probably the best deli sandwiches I have had outside of New York City. Excellent ingredients and beautiful view of the lake. As my Wife said «it’s like a picnic without the work.» Highly recommended.

Awesome place for lunch. Great sandwiches made with quality ingredients. I had the Cassidy sandwich which was a turkey sandwich with coleslaw thousand island dressing and cheese on a crusty wheat bread. My boyfriend had the lobster roll, both were equally delicious. I’m excited to go back and try out the other sandwiches they offer.

If you want a sandwich in Gilford definitely the place to go. I get a grilled sandwich and one of the best I’ve ever had.

We tried multiple places and were told they did not allow dogs. Until we found Lakeside. And not only allowed dogs, but encouraged dogs. But that was a small part, the food was great. I had a steak sub that was off the charts with Garlic Butter on it. Never had that but what a great combo. My wife had the Mt Washington, that was a roast beef with spinach, she is still talking a about it. Great view Great staff Great Food. The trifecta. Enjoy!!!

Having dietary restrictions, this place is awesome. They are totally friendly and willing to accommodate which means a lot. I didn’t feel guilty for asking questions or wondering if something could be subbed. And even being a busy holiday. High quality food too.

The view, the sandwiches and the onslaught of pickles. Pick up the pace, fool, before everyone discovers this tuck-​away.
I’m still eating Chef Jeff’s veal, pork and beef meatballs, handmade in-​house and loaded on to a toasted sub roll. The sheer volume of meat, with the sauce, the shaved Parmesan and the melted mozz, this thing will quickly deteriorate to an incredible mess, so pack appropriately, and pre-​snag a to go box. Also, can we talk about how many pickle chips you get on the side? Fat stacks.
A side of sweet potato fries ($ 5) are requisite when lunching with a +1. Grab extras of the Heinz dip or squeeze packets. Both? We’re living in the future! Bottle drinks in the cooler, and beer is on tap, so suds ‘em if you got ‘em.
A serene view of Meredith Bay and if you’re lucky enough to snag a table on the back porch, you’ll have elevated views while being removed from the Pleasant Street traffic.
As if traffic on Pleasant Street could be anything but.

Been to this spot twice and it’s been great both times. AlthOugh I have to admit that I ordered the same thing both times. The Cassidy sandwich, Turkey, coleslaw, thousand island and cheese. Comes grilled on really good crusty bread. check it out. My wife also got a roast beef and Boursin cheese sandwich that wad good. (Mine was better though) really good view of the lake too.
