The Rustler

Excellent place for a date night. I came here with my boyfriend and we had great service. I ordered the 16oz ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. It was tender and very juicy! We will definitely be back.

Great food and awesome service. Mike, the manger, was great! We came here to try it out for our party and we were impressed. Highly recommended! Try the warm bacon dressing on the salad and save a little for the potato. Steaks were cooked to perfection!

The place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside and it is located in what appeared to be a bit of a sketchy area. However, once I walked in, the atmosphere was one of fine dining with a casual Mississippi charm. The food was outstanding and service was just as good. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be going back.

Came in on valentine’s …had a reservation booked 2 weeks prior… we arrived and waited in the doorway with 4 other couples in a 5 square foot entrance (no wait seating available) after about 35 minutes we were offered a bar table and decided to take it because it was getting rediculous at that point ! We sat down and had little all town folk staring and talking about my girlfriend and I the entire visit (awkward) … the service was exceptional ! And food was indeed phenomenal ! Although one always remembers the negatives, I have to give it up to service and food… way give it another go on a different night ! It was a demanded night (reservations wise) I shouldn’t hold that over their head but their food made up for it… cheers

The filet was excellent. Better than Shapley’s in Jackson, and I love Shapley’s. Blue cheese salad and fresh made bread were a great meal alone. Casual steakhouse with great food is my kind of place. Born and raised in Las Vegas, I know good food and good service. Highly recommend the Rustler!

The Rustler is one of the «go to» restaurants in Meridian, but I just don’t care for the place. It is supposed to be a fine dining experience, but I think it is average food served with nice flatware and linen napkins. I have tried it three times and am not that impressed with it. The last time we went, the service was very, very slow. I know other people love this place, but I consider it a dud.
