Love this place! Our family regularly enjoys both pizza/takeout and sit down meals. A real family friendly place with reasonable prices and delicious food. Our favorites: grandma pizza, cavatelli with meat sauce, pasta fagiole soup, and sautéed broccoli A neighborhood gem!

Decided to have dinner here tonight because it is close by… I’m fairly new to Merrick. So glad we did! We ordered a salad to start and shared an eggplant parmesan and a fetuccini pasta in a pistachio creamy sauce. Everything was really tasty and the portions were large enough for the four of us! The attention was great too… will definitely be back!

In comparison to other pizza places on Long Island, this is definitely up there as being one of the best! If I could give this place a 4.5, I would. The only complaint I actually have is the mere fact that there is limited to no parking around this location. What really stands out for me about the pizza is that the marinara sauce is a little bit sweeter then usual pizzas whichI love and sometimes even crave. Also, the crust is not too doughy or how I would describe as not as «dusty.» The cheese is not too salty, a bit oily but it doesnt really fall off of the slice as easily as some other places do. highly recommend!

Best pizza on LI. I have been going here since I am a kid and this place rocks! Their Sicilian pie is the absolute best! They also have great heros and salads. I have to admit I have never eaten in the restaurant, but I did have my baby shower there almost 20 years ago, and it was fantastic! The only downside to Galleria is the wait on Friday’s during lent. The wait is usually 45 minutes, but that is just a testament to great this place really is!

The place is ok at best. The service is good but the food is nothing special. It’s a pizza place.

This place is as good as it gets! I am a big foodie so I happen to think I know good food, and every single person I’ve brought here has agreed that everything is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is casual, but the staff and service are high class. The meatball sliders are A MUST! The pistachio pasta is amazing, the lasagna, the penne with vegetables garlic & oil is one of my faves. The calamari is delish. Seriously anything you order will be so amazing. The pizza is also delicious, always hot and cheesy with a slightly crispy thinner crust. I can’t say enough about this place, there are so many Italian restaurants/pizzeria’s in Merrick and this one is the best of them all.

A great pizzeria and Italian restaurant a few blocks from my house. I’m here once every week or so. The pizza is always good. My favorites are the buffalo chicken and the chicken caesar slices. The real gem at this place is the small Italian restaurant connected to the pizzeria. The focaccia bread that is served at every table is great to whet your appetite. They make great fresh to order dishes, and it’s with the wait, which can sometimes be lengthy, up to 45 minutes from order to eating. The penne all a vodka and veal parm are both consistently delicious. The house wines are nothing to write home about, particularly the cab with is completely without taste. The best part is the cost. You can get a generously portioned meal, salad, bread and a glass of wine for about 20 bucks. The waitresses work hard on busy nights, I usually see only one working so tip generously, you’ll find they’ve earned it! Look closely and you’ll see the Lindsey Lohan autograph on the wall, she grew up down the block(har har).

Of all the pizza pizza places around Merrick that I have tried, Galleria is the one that stands out most to me. Although Galleria is a small restaurant, you would never be able to tell by the food. Everything I’ve had there up to date has been delicious. Regardless of the order, any order you place takes«20 mins» to be made. They have a decent variety of pizzas, the grandma pie being my favorite. What really puts this place above all the rest of the places nearby is that Galleria is open far later than the rest. Not to mention, the staff has always been friendly on my outings there.

Italian is Italian for most places so what makes this place good is their low price Pasta night which is every Wednesday. For less than $ 10 you get to choose between 20 options of pasta dishes which comes with a salad, coffee and desert. I had the typical spaghetti and meatballs which was really good. It also helps that Galleria is a nice local pizzeria.

This place is excellent. The dine in restaurant food is fabulous. Top quality. Definitely some creative items on the menu, and the plate presentation is classy and beautiful. The pizza, though not quite my favorite on Long Island, is definitely up there on my list. I have been eating the pizza here for decades. Consistently good.

Visit Date: March 1, 2014 I’ve actually eaten here quite a few times before my review. I used to live literally 2 or 3 houses away from this pizza place so when I had extra money because I was poor at the time I would sometimes eat here. I never reviewed them though because my visits weren’t recent. I came here with my best friend(who’s like my sister) and her nephew. We sat in the dining room but they have no waitress service until 4PM, so we basically gave our orders to the person at the counter and that person bought our orders out to our table. I ordered the eggplant parm, my friend had a salad and shared the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken with her nephew. We were also given bread, and I ordered a cappuccino, so did her 11 year old nephew(apparently he drinks coffee all the time). The cappuccino did the trick, not the best I’ve had but still pretty good. It was also served in a pretty big coffee cup which I’m definitely a fan of. I will take a large serving of good coffee anytime! The bread was good, again not bad, freshly made, decent bread. The eggplant parm was interesting. The eggplant was cooked nicely, it tasted great, there was enough cheese and plenty of sauce. I prefer my eggplant parm with extra sauce and extra cheese. The sauce had a unique taste to it, I can’t really describe it except to say it was good and different from any other sauce I’ve tasted. My friend liked the fettuccine alfredo she said it was very creamy. The service was good even though there was no waitress, it was still nice that they did manage to bring our food to our table anyway. Everyone we dealt with was friendly. It looks like there is a fair amount of seating here to deal with busy crowds, and it seemed like the place got a good amount of business in both take out and dining in. So far I’ve been pretty impressed with many of the Italian restuarants I’ve tried in Merrick including Galleria!

«20 mins»…it’s an ongoing joke with Galleria. No matter what you order at any time of any day, it always takes 20 mins. The pizza is damn good. So good that when I moved to the opposite side of town I will still make the drive down Merrick Ave. when I am craving a regular slice. The Sicilian pizza is dynamite too. Eggplant parm heroes are money. And of course, the best penne ala vodka I have ever had in life. If I was ever on death row, a bowl of Galleria’s penne ala vodka would be part of my last meal. It really is THAT good

Like other Unilocal reviewers have mentioned GP is a very good local southern Italian style pizzeria & small restaurant. Very casual and small in size. Big in taste. I had passed this place many many times getting on or off the Meadowbrook Pkwy. The parking around the restaurant is awful! We had to park down the block in the residential area. It was worth the short walk. Although moderately busy we got in and seated immediately. Our meal started with very tasty bread bowl with both Garlic Bread & Pizza Bread. Soft, warm delicious. Although no specials here(kinda odd), the menu is pretty substantial. They have numerous choices. Plenty of pasta, seafood and chicken selections. Everything is reasonably priced. After a bit of discussion with my better half we both decide we’ll try two different pasta dishes. She went with Rigatoni & Veggies in Filetto sauce(thats chunky tomato sauce) and I had Fusilli Shrimp & Mushroom in Pink Sauce. Dam! These were really good and SMMMMOKIN’ HOTHOTHOT. I mean right out of the kitchen and in front of us within ten minutes. Steam still was coming off my food when i finished eating, yeah that hot no exaggeration here! Oh yeah and the portions… Enormous-saurus! I had plenty to take home. Shrimp were excellent very large, sweet tasting. If Unilocal had a 4.5 thats really what i’d give them. Shave a half point for lousy parking, cramp seating, bland décor.

Every time I go to Merrick I beg my boyfriend to take me to Galleria! It is that good!!! I love the broccoli rabe pizza and pretty much any pizza they have. The sauce is delicious and the crust is crispy. There’s just something about Galleria’s pizza… PS– The staff is also very nice and friendly. It is a real homestyle place!
