In 1985, Drs. Brian Marder and Jonathan May established our Long Island practice in Merrick, NY, and have been responsible for providing outstanding veterinary care ever since. We have grown over the years into a progressive practice with a great support staff to allow us to provide compassionate care for your pets. With over 65 years of combined veterinary clinical service and commitment to yearly continuing education events, our 3 full– time doctors are very knowledgeable and will deliver top notch veterinary care for your companion.

Meet the Business Owner

Drs. Marder, May, and Villa.

Business Owner

Dr. Marder received his B.S. from Cornell University in 1975, his M.A. in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Florida in 1976, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1980. He treats all animals-​including avian and exotic species on Mondays.

Dr. May received his B.S. from Cornell University in 1972, his M.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of San Francisco in 1974, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1980. Dr. Mays sees patients on Tuesdays.

Dr. Villa received her B.S. from Cornell University in 1997, her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology in 1999 from SUNY Canton and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2004. She completed her veterinary clinical training at North Carolina State University. Dr. Villa also completed an Internal Medicine, Surgery and Emergency & Critical Care Internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in 2005. She sees patients Wednesday through Saturday.
