Excel Academies of Cosmetology

I LOVE this place. Affordable. Great experiences. Supportive staff (I say this especially because during my first visit I vomited in their salon bathroom on account of the flu hitting me full force… which is embarrassing)
When it come to salons services, I shy away from spending ridiculous amounts of money on hair, nails, facials, etc. even though I love how I look and feel after. I only went to this place when I lived back in NW Indiana. Why?
–This place beats salon prices hands down
–Plenty of students so plenty of open slots for appts.
–I always felt welcome
–The students are graded on their service by an instructor so they put a great deal of care into it (although I’m sure they care to do a good job either way).
–They gained my immediate loyalty when the flu hit me faster than I could make it to their restroom on my first visit and they offered nothing but support, concern, and bleach (I wouldn’t allow them in the bathroom until I bleached everything)
People often think because they are students, they maybe don’t have the experience but they are required so many hours of practice on mannequins before getting floor time. I have had highlights, haircuts, facials, and deep conditioning over the years. All stellar experiences. In fact, the best highlight and haircut experiences I’ve ever had was here.

Just love this place. Such a great staff and always a wonderful experience. I never go anywhere else!
